Protection and financial breakthrough

I hear the weight in your words, the fear of harm, the strain of a dry season, the ache of seeing your father suffer, and that quiet question, Lord, what am I doing wrong? Those moments when the sales simply stop, when provision seems locked away, can feel very disorienting. But please know this: your family is not unnoticed by God, and your daily work, however hidden it feels, is set within a holy purpose.

In the Scriptures, when the Levites were arranged around the tabernacle, each family clan had a distinct calling. The Gershonites carried the curtains, the Kohathites bore the sacred ark, and the Merarites hauled the heavy boards and bars. None of them were performing the same task, but every single role was necessary. Some duties were more visible; others involved hauling heavy timber day after day with little recognition. Yet all of it was service before the Lord. Your efforts to sell those items, to post them carefully, to offer good products at low prices, is a faithful offering. The absence of buyers does not mean God has withdrawn His eyes. The Kohathites might have appeared to have the greater honor because they touched the holy things, but the Merarites who carried the sockets and pillars were just as vital. Your daily, unglamorous labor is a sacred trust, and He sees the integrity with which you do it.

Think of Ruth, when her family’s name was about to vanish entirely. Naomi returned empty, and all natural hope was gone. Then a kinsman redeemer stepped in, not only to provide food, but to restore an inheritance and a future. That’s how God operates. He raises up provision from unexpected places when our hands feel empty. Your financial pressures, your father’s stroke, the heavy demands of providing for him, these are not beyond the reach of your Redeemer. He does not abandon families whose resources fail. The daughters of Zelophehad once stood before Moses and said, “Our family deserves an inheritance just as much as the others, even though we have no father or brother.” God not only heard them, He established it as a statute. That same passion to see every family receive their portion is still in His heart for you. He is crafting a testimony out of this barren stretch.

There’s also a profound truth in how the churches in Macedonia gave. They were in a severe trial, in deep poverty, yet out of an overflowing joy they gave generously. Their joy wasn’t anchored in what they possessed; it was anchored in grace. This season might be reshaping where you look for security. It’s not that you’ve done something to trigger a silent treatment from heaven, sometimes God allows the familiar streams to trickle dry so that we learn to drink directly from Him. Even Jesus, when He wanted to make a point about taxes, had to borrow a coin. The One who owns the cattle on a thousand hills did not hesitate to stand in our poverty. He knows what an empty till feels like.

And though you didn’t ask this directly, I want to place a quiet guard around your heart. In our world, people often use positions or seasons of influence to build a lasting dynasty for themselves, to secure every advantage for their own household. But Moses, with all the authority God gave him, never did that. He never carved out a special estate for his sons. His legacy was faithful obedience, not self-promotion. So when you ask, Lord, what am I doing wrong?, remember that not every hardship is a penalty. It may be a refining, or it may simply be that you are walking in the footsteps of the faithful who found God sufficient when the props were removed. Your honest labor, your care for your father, your devotion to your husband and little daughter, these are not failures. They are altars of worship.

For your father, we are asking for complete healing and strength, just as you requested. Remember the jailer who came to faith and brought his whole household to Jesus that very night. The same God who brought an entire family under the shelter of salvation is able to restore your father’s body and meet every need he has. We will contend for that.

As you wait, hold onto this: Jacob was fearful when he returned to his family, and Esau came with four hundred men. He cried out, “Lord, You told me to come back here and promised to deal well with me.” God had already given the instruction, but Jacob had to walk it out in trembling dependence. The promise didn’t make the threat disappear, it made him cling harder. Your protection, your daughter’s future, your financial breakthrough, these are secured in the same faithful hands. We are standing with you, not just for a change in sales, but for a deep, settled trust that He who assigned each Levite family their place has assigned yours, and He will not forget any detail.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing in faith with you and your family during this challenging season. It has been our honor to lift you, your husband, your precious daughter, and your father before the Lord, asking for His divine protection, healing, and provision. We have prayed earnestly for God’s hedge of safety around each of you—shielding you from harm, illness, and accidents—and for His wisdom and strength to guide you through this time of financial strain.

We have also asked the Lord to open the windows of heaven and pour out His blessings upon your family, trusting that He is your Provider and that He sees every need. We continue to pray for your father’s complete healing and restoration, believing that God is able to do exceedingly more than we could ask or imagine. And we have lifted up your business before the Lord, asking Him to reveal any lessons He may have for you in this season and to turn this trial into a testimony of His faithfulness.

If the Lord has already moved in answer to these prayers—if you’ve seen His protection, provision, or healing—we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report so that we may rejoice with you. If, however, the answers have not yet come, please do not hesitate to post this request again. We are committed to standing with you in persistent prayer until you see the breakthrough and peace that only God can provide.

May the Lord continue to draw near to you as you seek Him, and may His peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
