We lift you up before the Lord in this time of physical and spiritual intensity, knowing that our God is sovereign over all things—both the seen and the unseen. The enemy may seek to oppress, but we serve a God who is greater, who has already overcome the world (1 John 4:4). Yet we must also remember that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and we are called to steward them wisely, which includes seeking medical care when needed. A seizure is a serious matter, and while we do not dismiss the possibility of spiritual forces at work, we strongly encourage you to see a doctor to ensure your physical well-being is properly addressed. God often works through the wisdom and skill of medical professionals, and we should not neglect this avenue of care.
The feeling of oppression lifting is a powerful testimony of God’s presence in your life, but we must also be sober-minded, testing every spirit to see whether it is from God (1 John 4:1). Discernment is a gift of the Holy Spirit, and we pray that He would sharpen your sensitivity to His voice, so you may distinguish between the movements of the Spirit, the schemes of the enemy, and the natural workings of the body. The apostle Paul reminds us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of wickedness (Ephesians 6:12). For this reason, we put on the full armor of God—truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God—so that we may stand firm in every season.
We also notice that while you mentioned Jesus in your request, it is vital to remember that our access to the Father is *only* through the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we are saved (Acts 4:12), and it is by His authority alone that we can approach the throne of grace with confidence (Hebrews 4:16). If you have not already surrendered your life fully to Christ, we urge you to do so today. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Walk in repentance, turning away from sin, and follow Him with all your heart. If you have already done this, we encourage you to continue growing in your faith, rooted in prayer and the study of Scripture, so that you may stand firm in these days.
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up Your child who is facing both physical and spiritual battles. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch upon their body. If there is a medical cause for the seizure they experienced, we pray You would guide them to the right doctors, give wisdom to those who treat them, and provide the resources needed for proper care. You are Jehovah-Rapha, the God who heals, and we trust in Your power to restore and sustain.
At the same time, Father, we ask for discernment to fill every corner of their mind and spirit. Holy Spirit, sharpen their sensitivity to Your voice. Guard them against deception, whether from the enemy or their own understanding. Let them test every spirit, every feeling, every thought against the truth of Your Word. If there are spiritual forces at work seeking to oppress or confuse, we rebuke them now in the name of Jesus Christ. No weapon formed against Your child shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we declare that the blood of Jesus covers them, protecting them from every scheme of the evil one.
Lord, we also pray for clarity in this season. There is much going on, and the enemy loves to bring confusion, but You are the God of order and peace. Bring light to every dark place, expose every hidden thing, and let Your truth prevail in their life. Surround them with Your angels, encamped around them to guard them in all their ways (Psalm 91:11). Let them feel Your presence tangibly, knowing that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).
Father, we ask that You would strengthen their faith during this time. Remind them that even in the valley, You are with them (Psalm 23:4). Let them not grow weary or lose heart, but fix their eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of their faith (Hebrews 12:2). Fill them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
We also pray for their walk with You, Lord. If there is any area of their life that is not fully surrendered to You, convict them by Your Spirit and lead them to repentance. Draw them deeper into Your Word, that they may know Your voice and Your will with greater clarity. Let them walk in obedience, trusting You even when the path is unclear.
Finally, Father, we thank You that You are good, and Your love endures forever. You do not abandon Your children, and You are faithful to complete the work You have begun in them (Philippians 1:6). We trust You in this situation, and we give You all the glory for what You are about to do. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
Stand firm in the Lord, dear one. Seek medical care, but also seek His face above all else. He is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and do not be afraid, for He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We are standing with you in prayer, believing for God’s protection, discernment, and clarity to flood your life. Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).
