Protect youth, grant wife thorough repentance...

Beloved of All
Father, continue to let my son be raised in the love, training and admonition of the Lord, Eph 6:1-2, 3-4. May their mother be sick of sin and renounce it, Jer 3:25, Rom 6:21, Luke 15:17-23, Hos 2:6-7. Give me creative ways to teach him, watching Bible movies together, learning English and I his language and others. Keep them from deception, Matt 24:4, false believers, 2 Cor 11:26, evil people, 2 Thes 3:2, false believers, 2 Tim 3:5, deceivers, 2 Tim 3:13, false believers, Tit 1:16, temptation, Lk 11:4, sin 1 Cor 8:1, 2 Cor 13:7, wrongdoing, lies, and fear, Zeph 3::13. Keep them from the evil one, Matt 6:13 and Jn 17:15. In Jesus, Amen

We join with you in this burden for your son and for your wife and we count it a beautiful and godly desire that your son would be raised in the love and training and admonition of the Lord.

We hear your heart for thorough and true repentance for your wife, that she would become sick of sin and renounce it. The Word says in Jer 3:25 Let us lie down in our shame, and let our confusion cover us, for we have sinned against Yahweh our God, and in Rom 6:21 What fruit then did you have at that time in the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death. Godly sorrow is a gift from God that leads to life, for 2 Cor 7:10 says godly sorrow produces repentance to salvation, which brings no regret. We pray with you that the Lord would grant her that godly sorrow, that like the prodigal in Luke 15:17-23 she would come to herself and say I will get up and go to my father, and that as in Hos 2:6-7 the Lord would hedge up her way with thorns and make a wall against her so that she cannot find her paths in sin but will return and seek the Lord and restoration in your marriage. We uphold the sanctity of your marriage as a lifelong covenant before God between a man and a woman, and we pray for her complete turning from sin and for the healing and strengthening of your family in Christ.

We also stand with you for your son. Eph 6:4 says Fathers, don’t provoke your children to wrath, but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord, and Eph 6:1-3 reminds us that children are to obey their parents in the Lord, for this is right and carries promise. Prov 22:6 says Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it. Your desire to find creative ways to teach him, to watch Bible movies together and to learn English and his language together, is a tender and wise way to nurture him. We pray God gives you creativity, patience and joy in this, that the time together would build his faith and your bond, and that the Word would take deep root in his heart.

We agree with you for protection from deception and evil. Jesus said in Matt 24:4 Watch out that no one leads you astray, and we pray that for you both. We pray as in 2 Thess 3:2 that you may be delivered from unreasonable and evil men, and kept from false believers who have a form of godliness but deny its power as in 2 Tim 3:5, and from those described in Tit 1:16 who profess to know God but deny him by their works, and from deceivers who grow worse deceiving and being deceived as in 2 Tim 3:13, and from dangers on the journey as in 2 Cor 11:26. We pray as in Luke 11:4 Bring us not into temptation, and that you would be kept from sin and that you may do no wrong as in 2 Cor 13:7, and that no wrongdoing, lies or fear would cling to your home, for Zeph 3:13 says the remnant of Israel will not do iniquity nor speak lies. Above all we pray as Jesus prayed in John 17:15 that the Father would not take you from the world but keep you from the evil one, and as in Matt 6:13 that He would bring you not into temptation but deliver you from the evil one.

We pray together now, Father in heaven, we lift this husband and father before You in Jesus name. We thank You for his love for his son and for his wife and for his desire to see them walk in truth. Continue to establish this young life in Your love, keep him under the shelter of Your wing, let Your Word be his delight and his guard. Anoint this father to teach with gentleness and creativity, bless their time in Scripture and in Bible stories and in learning languages together, let every lesson draw them closer to You and to each other. Pour out upon his wife a thorough repentance, let her be truly sick of sin, let her renounce it and turn to You with her whole heart, wash her and restore her, bring reconciliation and holiness to this marriage for Your glory. Keep them all from deception, from false believers, from evil people, from temptation and wrongdoing, from lies and fear, and keep them from the evil one by Your mighty hand. Let Your truth be a lamp to their feet and let no scheme of the enemy prosper against them. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who alone is our access to the Father and our salvation, amen.

We hear your love for your son and the weight you carry for his mother and for both of them to be kept from harm and deception. Wanting him to be raised in the love and training of the Lord while you also navigate concern for his mom is a lot to hold, and we are praying with you in it.

What you mentioned about creative ways to teach him stood out. One thing that has helped other parents is to think of this less as trying hard in a moment and more as steady training over time, like preparing for a long race. Small, consistent rhythms often take root more than big occasional efforts. Watching a Bible story together and then talking about just one question afterward, or trading a few words in English and a few in his language each time you are together, can become a simple, shared pattern he looks forward to and learns from without pressure.

We also join you in praying for protection over you both, for wisdom as you discern what is true and good, and for God to work deeply in his mother's heart toward a real turning from sin to Him.

Father, we lift this son to You and ask You to keep him close to You, to guard him from the evil one and from deception and fear. Give his father wisdom, patience and creative ways to teach and love him well day by day. Work in his mother's heart to bring a thorough change of mind and life that leads to You. Guide this family according to Your will. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing us with another day, and for all you do for all of us. All glory and honor belongs to you Father. I lift this prayer up on your glory Father God and ask that you grant your perfect will. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.”

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭17‬:‭7‬ ‭NIV‬‬

We lift your petition with you before the throne of grace, and we join our hearts with yours for your son and for his mother.

Your desire that your son be raised in the love and training and admonition of the Lord is a holy and right desire, and we pray that the Lord will establish you in that sacred work. The fear of the Lord is a place of refuge, and when it rests upon a household it drives the soul not from God but to Him. May the Lord give you creative and faithful ways to teach him, whether by the reading of the Word, by watching and speaking of those things which set forth Christ, and by the daily instruction of a father's love and example. As you labor to learn his language and to teach him yours, may that very labor be a picture to him of patient love, and may the Lord use it to open his heart to the language of grace.

For his mother we pray as you pray, that God would grant not a passing regret but a thorough repentance unto life. There is a repentance which is born only of terror and soon fades, a turning away for a time and then a going back with greater gusto, and such repentance is poor and short lived. But true repentance is a hatred of sin and a turning from it and a determination in the strength of God to forsake it. It is practical and it lasts, it yields works meet for repentance, and it makes a rainbow with tears of grief for sin and glances of hope at the love of Christ and His finished work. We pray that she may be made sick of sin, that she may see its bitterness and renounce it, and that she may return as one who has come to herself, confessing with godly sorrow and finding mercy. Repentance and faith go together, the one purging the soul from dead works and the other filling it with living works, and we ask the Lord to work both in her by His Spirit, not a repentance that needs to be repented of, but that which needeth not to be repented of and which preserves the soul in Christ.

We pray also for that keeping which Christ Himself sought for His own when He said to His Father, I pray not that Thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that Thou shouldest keep them from the evil one. We ask the Lord to keep you and your son and his mother from deception, from false teaching, from evil men, from temptation and from sin, and from all wrongdoing, lies and fear. The arrows are many and they fly from beneath and around us, and the poison of our own corruption rankles within, yet the Lord is able to keep hour by hour by constant grace those who trust in Him. May He deliver you from the dominion of sin, from carking care and unbelieving anxiety, and may the peace of God which passeth all understanding keep your hearts and minds by Jesus Christ.

Continue, brother, in prayer and in the Word, walking by faith and with repentance as your companion all the journey through. Teach diligently, pray importunately, and trust not in your own strength lest you fall again into the same evil, but look to Divine Grace to purge and to keep. The Lord who loved His people from before the foundation of the world is faithful, and He will not cast away those who seek Him with a broken and contrite heart.

We commend you and your son to His care, and we pray that He who is seated at His table in Heaven will manifest His love to you in secret places, restore joy where it has been lost, and make your piety resplendent even among thorns. May the Lord wash thoroughly, cleanse, and blot out transgression, and may He keep you all from the evil one until He brings you to His presence in peace.

In the name of Jesus Christ, our only Saviour, whose blood alone cleanses from sin and whose grace alone can give repentance unto life, Amen.
