Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer for the protection of the little ones is heard, and we join you in bringing them before the Lord with thanksgiving.

We thank God for His great love shown to us in Christ, who came to deliver us from evil and to bring us into sonship, and for Jesus our Good Shepherd who stands and shepherds His flock in the strength of the Lord. As you have prayed from Micah 5:4 and John 10:11, we ask the Lord to keep these children and all your extended family, your youngster, his cousins, nieces and nephews, friends and those who care for them, under His rod and staff, that they may dwell securely without fear. Like a hen gathers her young under her wings, so the Lord shows His warm and constant care for His own.

We pray as you have asked that they would know the Holy Scriptures from their youth, as Paul writes to Timothy, and that the love of God would be poured into their hearts by the Holy Spirit. We ask the Lord to give His angels charge over them, for Jesus said their angels always see the face of the Father, and that the angel of the Lord would encamp around those who fear Him. We ask Him to guard their eyes and ears and minds and bodies from evil and from those who would lead them astray, and to strengthen mothers and fathers and all who watch over them to remain faithful and vigilant against wolves and against every evil influence, even when it comes in deceptive form.

We submit ourselves to God and pray for His armor to be upon these children and upon you, that you may resist the enemy and stand firm in faith. We pray for healing for any who have been hurt, for comfort for the weary and heavy laden who need the rest that Christ gives with His easy yoke, and for power through the Spirit to know the breadth and depth of Christ's love. We ask that God would work all things together for good according to the counsel of His will and for the furtherance of the gospel, and that these little ones would be fed with wisdom and knowledge by shepherds after His own heart.

May the Lord keep you in His peace, remembering His promises, Return to your rest, O my soul, for the Lord has dealt bountifully with you, and I will fear no evil for You are with me. We trust Him who has delivered and will deliver, not only from present danger but from every evil work, to keep these children blameless until He comes.

In the name of Jesus our Shepherd and King, we pray. Amen.

Your prayer for the little ones reflects the heart of God and the clear teaching of Scripture, and it is a joy to join you in lifting them up.

The Lord Jesus shows how precious children are to Him. He said their angels always behold the face of the Father and warned that it would be better for a millstone to be hung around a person's neck than to cause one of these little ones to stumble. He is the Good Shepherd who lays down His life for the sheep, who carries the lambs close to His heart, who leads and feeds and restores, and who gives His rod and staff for comfort and protection. We thank God with you for that Shepherd, and we ask Him to keep your children, their cousins, friends, and all the children in your extended family and fellowship under His watchful care.

Scripture teaches that the wise person sees evil coming and takes refuge, while the simple go on and suffer harm. For us that refuge is not a charm or a ritual, but the provision God has made through Jesus Christ. To hide our children in Him is to hide them from judgment and from the power of evil. Part of that wisdom is to train a child in the way he should go and to make the Holy Scriptures known to them from their earliest years, for the Scriptures are able to make them wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.

That training also means teaching them, and practicing ourselves, to turn away from evil and from those whose minds are set on evil. The warning about not eating the bread of a person with an evil eye is not about superstition or a hex, but about character. It describes a person whose heart and mind are perverse, who leaves the straight path to walk in darkness, whose speech is twisted and whose ways bring harm. The instruction is plain: do not go in that way, avoid it, turn from it and pass on. Do not come near the door of that temptation. Keep your eyes looking straight ahead on what is good and let your feet be established in the right path. For parents and those who care for children, this means loving discernment about influences, friendships, media, and even teachers or leaders who may claim spiritual authority but show the marks of evil. We are called to shepherd the flock of God with care and to guard the little ones from wolves, and to pray for healing and strength where any have already been hurt.

In a world where so much evil is present, the Lord also tells us not to fret because of evildoers or to envy the wicked, for there is no lasting reward for the evil man. Laws and cultures may at times seem to protect what is evil and punish what is good, and that can stir anxiety, especially when we are praying at a distance for children we cannot physically protect. Yet God has not left us without hope. He promises that He gives His angels charge over those who fear Him, that the angel of the Lord encamps around them, and that those angels are ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation. He promises to work all things together for good according to the counsel of His will and to use even hard things for the furtherance of the gospel.

So we pray with you now that the Lord would place His protection around each child you have named and each one you hold in your heart, that He would keep their bodies and minds from the evil one and from evil people, that He would keep their eyes from seeing evil and their ears from hearing what would corrupt them. We pray that He would shed His love abroad in their hearts by the Holy Spirit, that they would know the breadth and depth of His love, that they would find rest in Christ when weary and heavy laden, for His yoke is easy and His burden is light. We pray that He would raise up faithful mothers and fathers and shepherds after His own heart to feed them with wisdom and knowledge, and that He would strengthen you for long term intercession with power through His Spirit.

We submit ourselves to God, resist the enemy in the authority of Jesus to whom all authority in heaven and earth has been given, and trust that the church which Christ builds on the truth of who He is as Messiah will prevail. May the Lord keep you from fear, give you peace as you trust His greatness that reaches to the ends of the earth, and let you see His faithfulness as you continue to bring these little ones before His throne in the name of Jesus.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer for the protection of your little ones.

We have continued to stand with you before the Lord for your youngster, his cousins, the nieces and nephews and extended family, and for all the children of those who congregate here. We have been praying that our Good Shepherd who laid down His life for the sheep according to John 10:11 would shepherd His flock in the strength of the Lord as promised in Micah 5:4, and that He would keep them dwelling securely. We have asked the Father to give His angels charge over them according to Ps 91:11 and that the angel of the Lord would encamp around those who fear Him according to Ps 34:7.

We have also joined you in praying that these little ones would not be caused to stumble and would not be despised, remembering the words of Jesus in Lk 17:2 and Matt 18:10 that their angels always see the face of the Father, and that they would come to know the Holy Scriptures from their youth according to 2 Tim 3:15 and to know His love according to 1 John 4:10. We continue to ask that the Lord would feed them with wisdom and knowledge, comfort them with His rod and His staff according to Ps 23:1, and shed His love abroad in their hearts by the Holy Spirit.

If your request was answered and you have seen the Lord's hand of protection and comfort over these children, please post a praise report and let us all know so we can rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered yet, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer.

We are grateful to continue interceding with you for the furtherance of the gospel and for the Lord to work all things together for good. May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. We pray in Jesus Name, Amen.
