🤺Protect Our Little Ones Lk 17:2, Matt 18:10, Know Holy Scriptures from Their Youth 2 Tim 3:15, Your Love 1 Jn 4:10, Angelic Protection Ps 91:11-16

We join you in lifting up these little ones before the Lord with thanksgiving, for He is the Good Shepherd who lays down His life for the sheep and who carries the lambs in His arms.

Your prayer rightly remembers how precious children are in the sight of Christ. He has said that their angels always behold the face of the Father, and He has given a solemn warning not to cause one of these little ones to stumble. We agree with you in asking that the Lord would set His hand of protection over your youngster, his cousins, nieces and nephews, friends, and all the children among your family and among fellow believers, and that He would give His angels charge over them to keep them in all their ways.

We also pray as you have asked that these children would know the Holy Scriptures from their youth, for the Scriptures are able to make them wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. As it has been taught among us, we must teach children the fear of the Lord from their first youth, saying with the psalmist, Come, children, listen to me, I will teach you the fear of the Lord. When the fear of God is instilled within, it becomes a wall that cannot be broken, and God Himself will guard them better than any earthly father could. Pray that they would be babes in malice but mature in understanding, kept pure from evil and growing in wisdom and knowledge.

We ask the Lord Jesus to shepherd this whole flock with His rod and His staff, to feed His people with wisdom and knowledge, to comfort the weary and to give rest to those who are heavy laden. We pray that He would pour out His love into their hearts by the Holy Spirit and that they would come to know the breadth and length and height and depth of that love. We ask that He would clothe them with the armor of God, keep their eyes and ears from evil, and deliver them from the evil one and from evil people and imposters who would seek to harm or mislead them, even when such wolves appear in sheep's clothing.

We submit ourselves to God and resist the enemy, trusting the promise that he will flee, and we rest in the confidence that the Church which Christ builds upon Himself as the Messiah will prevail against the gates of hell. We ask that every circumstance would be worked together for good according to the counsel of His will and for the furtherance of the gospel.

May the Lord keep these children and their parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and babysitters in His care, strengthen and heal any who have been hurt, and sustain you as you intercede for them, even from afar, with power through His Spirit. We thank Him in advance for His faithful protection and we ask all this in the name of Jesus, who alone is our Savior and Shepherd, Amen.

Your prayer for these little ones is precious to the Lord and it reflects His own heart. Jesus said it would be better for a millstone to be hung around a person's neck than to cause one of these little ones to stumble, and that their angels always behold the face of the Father in heaven. He is the Good Shepherd who lays down His life for the sheep, who carries the lambs in His arms and gently leads those that are with young, whose rod and staff comfort and protect.

I join you in thanking God for His love shown in sending His Son, and for the promise that He gives His angels charge over His children to keep them in all their ways, and that the angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him. We ask Him to keep your young ones, their cousins, nieces and nephews, friends, and all the children among the family of believers, to keep their eyes and ears and minds from evil, to guard their bodies and souls from the evil one and from evil people, and to clothe them with the armor of God so they may stand firm in spiritual battle.

Scripture calls us to be prudent and to foresee evil and take refuge. That refuge is not a charm or a ritual, but hiding ourselves in the provision God has made through Jesus Christ. In Him we are sheltered from judgment and kept in the day of trouble. Part of that prudence is what the Proverbs teach about the evil person. This is not about superstition or a hex, but about a person whose mind is set on evil and perverse things, who leaves the paths of uprightness to walk in darkness. We are told not to eat the bread of such a person, not to desire his delicacies, not to go in the way of evil men but to avoid it, to pass not by it, to turn from it and run. We are to put away perverse speech, let our eyes look straight ahead, ponder the path of our feet, and remove our foot from evil, and to keep our way far from temptation.

That is also why God so strongly warned His people to remove influences that would turn their hearts away from Him, and why He showed such zeal to protect innocent children from the pagan practice of passing them through the fire. He sees and He judges what harms them. Children are a heritage from the Lord, and He has given parents and those who care for them the calling to train them up in His way and to make known the Holy Scriptures from their youth, which are able to make them wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.

Do not fret because of evildoers or be envious of them, even when it seems laws protect what is evil and restrain what is good, or when those who claim to be shepherds prove to be wolves. Those who do evil will be cut off, and there is no reward for the wicked. The Lord sees, He is our Shepherd who stands in the strength of the Lord and His greatness reaches to the ends of the earth, and His flock will dwell securely.

So we continue to pray that God would shed His love abroad in their hearts by the Holy Spirit, that they would know the breadth and length and depth and height of that love, that He would feed them with wisdom and knowledge through faithful shepherds after His own heart, strengthen and heal any who have been hurt, and draw the weary and heavy laden to the rest that Jesus gives. We submit ourselves to God, resist the devil in the authority of Jesus to whom all authority in heaven and earth has been given, trusting that he must flee, and that the church built upon Christ the Messiah will prevail against the gates of hell.

We ask all of this trusting that God works all things together for good according to the counsel of His will and for the furtherance of the gospel, and that what we ask according to His will in the name of Jesus, He hears. May the Lord keep you and all these little ones in His perfect care and peace.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer for the protection of our little ones.

We have continued to lift up your youngster and his cousins and the extended family of nieces and nephews and friends before the Lord, asking our Good Shepherd to keep them securely in His care as promised in Micah 5:4 and John 10:11. We have been praying that the Lord will give His angels charge over them according to Ps 91:11, that they would be kept from stumbling as warned in Lk 17:2, that they would know the Holy Scriptures from their youth as in 2 Tim 3:15, and that they would know His love shed abroad in their hearts as in Rom 5:5 and 1 Jn 4:10. We have also asked that the angel of the Lord would encamp around all who fear Him as in Ps 34:7 and that He would comfort them with His rod and His staff as in Ps 23:4.

We count it a joy to stand with you for all the children among us and for mothers and fathers who watch over them.

If your request was answered and you have seen the Lord's hand of protection and peace upon these precious young ones, please post a praise report and let us all know so we may rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered yet, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer.

We pray that the Lord will strengthen you and your family and draw you ever closer to Himself as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. We pray this in Jesus Name, Amen.
