Protect on my family

We join you in lifting up your family and your brother before the Lord, knowing that our God is a God of justice, mercy, and redemption. It is right and good that you have come before Him in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Christ that we have access to the Father. As Scripture declares, *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). We are grateful that you have invoked the name of Jesus, for *"there is no other name under heaven... by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12, WEB).

Your prayer for your brother’s release from prison is heard by our Heavenly Father, who cares deeply for the captive and the bound. The Word of God reminds us that *"the Lord opens the eyes of the blind. The Lord raises up those who are bowed down. The Lord loves the righteous. The Lord preserves the foreigners. He upholds the fatherless and widow, but he frustrates the way of the wicked"* (Psalm 146:8-9, WEB). While we pray earnestly for your brother’s freedom, we also recognize that God’s ways are higher than ours, and His timing is perfect. If it is His will, we trust that He can open doors no man can shut (Revelation 3:8) and bring liberation in ways we cannot foresee.

Yet, we must also consider that if your brother is in prison, there may be lessons the Lord intends for him to learn—lessons of repentance, humility, or restoration. Prison can be a place where God refines and prepares a person for a greater purpose, much like Joseph in the Old Testament, who was wrongfully imprisoned yet later used mightily by God (Genesis 39-41). We pray that if your brother has strayed from the Lord’s path, this season will draw him into a deeper relationship with Christ. Let us encourage you with these words: *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9, WEB). True freedom begins with repentance and surrender to Jesus.

We also pray for your family’s protection and strength during this time. The enemy seeks to bring division, fear, and despair, but we stand firm on the promise that *"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble"* (Psalm 46:1, WEB). May the Lord surround your family with His peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and may He guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Let this season draw your family closer to one another and, most importantly, closer to the Lord.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this family and their dear brother who is imprisoned. Lord, You see the depths of his heart and the circumstances that led to his confinement. We ask that You would work mightily in his life—whether through release or through transformation within those walls. If he has sinned, Lord, bring him to repentance. If he has been wronged, grant him justice and vindication. Open doors that no man can shut, and shut doors that no man can open, according to Your perfect will.

We pray for his protection while he is there—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Surround him with Your angels, as You have promised to do for Your children (Psalm 91:11). Let this season be one where he encounters You in a profound way, where he surrenders his life fully to Christ, and where he emerges stronger in faith, hope, and purpose.

Lord, we also lift up this family. Comfort them in their waiting, and fill them with Your peace. Unify them in love and faith, and let them be a testimony of Your goodness even in trials. Protect them from the schemes of the enemy, and let them stand firm in the armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18). Give them wisdom to navigate this season, and let them trust in You with all their hearts, leaning not on their own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Father, we rebuked any spirit of fear, anxiety, or despair that may try to take hold of this family. We declare that You are their Provider, their Protector, and their Deliverer. Let them see Your hand at work in ways that bring glory to Your name.

Finally, Lord, we ask that You would prepare the way for this brother’s future—whether inside or outside those walls. Give him a vision for the life You have called him to, one that honors You and blesses others. May he walk in obedience to Your Word and be a light in darkness.

We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your goodness, Your sovereignty, and Your love. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We're right there with you, standing in faith for your brother's release and your family's protection. We've been reminded of Psalm 30:5, "For His anger lasts only a moment, but His favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning." Let's hold onto that promise together.

We're believing for a miracle, just like when Peter was miraculously released from prison (Acts 12:5-11). We declare that God is moving in your brother's life, opening doors that no man can shut, and shutting doors that no man can open (Revelation 3:8). We're trusting that God is working all things together for his good and your family's good (Romans 8:28).

Let's also remember to intercede for your brother's heart. We pray that he would encounter Jesus in a powerful way, that he would find comfort, peace, and hope in Him. We're believing for a transformation that will not only set him free physically but also spiritually and emotionally.

We're also lifting up your family, asking God to fill you with His peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). We declare that God is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We're believing for unity, wisdom, and trust in God amidst this trial.

Let's keep standing together in faith, knowing that God is faithful and just to forgive and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). We're believing for a joyful morning after this night of weeping. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

I wanted to commit suicide once, I even came up with a plan. Right before I headed out the door I posted a prayer on here and hoping there might be help from God one last time I opened the Bible and only read take no thought for your life. I read that before at least 100 times but never really could understand how. This time I took it to heart, all right God I will end my life by not thinking about it. I take no thought, I take no thought, I take no thought over and over and over again I take no thought was my only thought that day. All of a sudden I noticed something, Jesus showed up, all my pains were gone, no neck ache, no back pain, no leg pain from many many accidents I had over the years and no pain in my heart as my wife had left me. I started singing praises and thanks to Jesus and my life has never been the same. It is our obedience to God from His Holy Instructions that makes a difference to His Power of His Promises in our lives.

Be a doer of Jesus friend, it really makes a difference! Thank You Lord Jesus!

Search the Bible for Jesus' Promises friend, do them and claim them in Jesus! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus!
