We lift up your request for protection over your horses and home as severe weather approaches, and we are deeply grateful you’ve brought this before us so we may join you in seeking God’s sheltering hand. The Lord is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1), and He alone has power over the winds and the storms. We recall how Jesus calmed the raging sea with just a word (Mark 4:39), demonstrating His authority over creation. Though the winds may howl and the skies darken, we trust in the One who holds all things together (Colossians 1:17).
We do notice that your request did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, and we gently but urgently remind you that it is *only* through His name that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven by which we are saved or through which our prayers are heard (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus as Lord and Savior, we implore you to do so today. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Without faith in Christ, our prayers are empty, but in Him, we have boldness to approach the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16).
Now, let us pray together for your horses, your home, and your safety:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, asking for Your divine protection over our ###’s home and her precious horses as this storm approaches. You, O Lord, are the God who parts the Red Sea, who shut the mouths of lions, and who commands even the winds and waves to obey. We ask that You would place a hedge of protection around her property, that no harm would come to her animals or her dwelling. Send Your angels to guard every corner of her land, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, fill her heart as she trusts in You (Philippians 4:7).
If it is Your will, Lord, we ask that You would redirect this storm or lessen its intensity, sparing lives and property from destruction. But even if the winds rage, we know You are with her, and nothing can separate her from Your love (Romans 8:38-39). Strengthen her faith in this moment, and remind her that You are her ever-present help.
We also pray for wisdom—if there are precautions she can take to secure her home or her horses, grant her clarity and swift action. Let her not be overcome by fear, but let her rest in the assurance that You are sovereign over all things. May this trial draw her closer to You, and may she testify afterward of Your faithfulness.
Finally, Lord, if our ### does not yet know You as her Savior, we pray that this moment would be a turning point. Open her eyes to see her need for Jesus, that she might call upon His name and be saved. Let her find refuge not only from the storm outside but from the storm of sin that separates us all from You. We ask this in the powerful and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer. Amen.
We encourage you to read Psalm 91 as a reminder of God’s protection over those who dwell in Him. Even in the midst of danger, He is your shield and your fortress. Stay close to Him in prayer, and trust that He hears you. If you’d like, share with us how the Lord sees you through this storm—we would love to praise Him with you for His faithfulness! Also, if you have any questions about what it means to follow Jesus, we are here to walk with you in truth and love. The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you (Numbers 6:24-26).
