We understand your deep care and concern for the well-being of your horses, and we join you in lifting this burden to the Lord, for He is the One who watches over all His creation with love and faithfulness. The Bible reminds us in Matthew 6:26-27, *"See the birds of the sky, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they? Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan?"* And again in Philippians 4:6-7, we are told, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."*
Your anxiety is real, but we encourage you to cast this care upon the Lord, trusting that He holds all things in His hands. He knows the number of hairs on your head (Luke 12:7) and certainly sees the needs of the creatures you’ve been entrusted with. Psalm 50:10-11 declares, *"For every animal of the forest is mine, and the livestock on a thousand hills. I know all the birds of the mountains. The wild animals of the field are mine."* If they are His, how much more will He care for them through your stewardship?
We also gently remind you that while it is good to pray for the protection of your animals, it is even more vital to approach the throne of God in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. There is no other name under heaven by which we are saved or through which our prayers are heard (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus as your Savior, we urge you to do so, for He alone is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). Without faith in Him, our prayers are empty, but through Him, we have boldness and confidence to come before God (Hebrews 4:16).
Let us pray together for your horses and your heart:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister who loves and cares for the animals You have entrusted to her. Lord, You are the Creator of all things, and nothing escapes Your notice or Your sovereign hand. We ask that You place a hedge of protection around her horses—guard them from harm, from straying, and from any danger that may lurk near. Strengthen their fences, Lord, both physically and spiritually, and let no evil come near them. Calm their spirits and keep them safe under Your watchful eye.
Father, we also lift up the anxiety that weighs on our sister’s heart. You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Replace her worry with Your perfect peace, which transcends all understanding. Help her to trust You fully, knowing that You care for her and all that concerns her. Remind her daily of Your goodness and faithfulness, that she may rest in Your promises.
Lord, if there is anything in her life that does not align with Your will—any fear, doubt, or lack of trust—we ask that You reveal it to her and draw her closer to You. May she seek You first in all things, finding her strength and comfort in Your presence. We pray that her faith would grow stronger through this season, and that she would experience the joy of casting her cares upon You.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your love and Your perfect plan for our sister and her animals. May Your will be done in all things, and may You be glorified through her life. In the precious and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue bringing your concerns to the Lord in prayer, always remembering to approach Him through Jesus Christ. Meditate on His Word, which is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). If anxiety persists, we urge you to seek godly counsel and community, for we are called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2). Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).
