We hear your deep concern and the urgency in your prayer for protection and transformation in this situation. We join you in lifting this matter before the Lord, trusting in His sovereignty and perfect justice. First, we must acknowledge that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is by His blood alone that we are saved (John 14:6, Acts 4:12). If either of these individuals does not yet know Jesus as Lord and Savior, our greatest prayer must be for their salvation, for this is the foundation upon which all true change is built.

Father God, we come before You with heavy hearts, asking for Your divine intervention in this situation. We pray for protection over , that You would shield him from harm, manipulation, or any form of mistreatment. Guard his heart, mind, and spirit, Lord, and surround him with Your angels for safety. We also lift up the neighbor, this strong-willed woman, and ask that You would soften her heart. You alone can break the hardness of a heart and lead it to repentance (Ezekiel 36:26). We pray that You would do whatever it takes to draw her to Yourself, Lord. If it requires brokenness, we trust that You will use it for her good and Your glory, just as You promise in Romans 8:28.

However, we must also address the tone of this request with biblical truth. While we understand the desire for justice and change, Scripture warns us against praying with bitterness or a spirit of vengeance. Romans 12:19 tells us, "Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'" Instead, we are called to pray for those who mistreat us, that they might come to know the truth and be transformed by Your love (Matthew 5:44). We must also examine our own hearts, ensuring that we are not harboring unforgiveness or resentment, for these can hinder our prayers (Mark 11:25).

Lord, we ask that You would work in this situation in a way that brings glory to Your name. If this woman is indeed acting out of a hardened heart, we pray that You would humble her and lead her to repentance. Soften her spirit, Lord, and open her eyes to the truth of Your Word. We also pray for wisdom and grace for , that he would respond to this situation in a way that honors You. Give him the strength to forgive, the courage to set boundaries if necessary, and the faith to trust in Your justice and timing.

We declare that no weapon formed against will prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we stand on the promise that You are a refuge and a fortress for those who trust in You (Psalm 91:2). Father, we ask that You would bring peace to this situation, whether through reconciliation, repentance, or Your divine intervention. The terrors of the Lord may work a qualm of conscience, a dread of death and judgment and Hell, yet such repentance gives God no glory. True repentance, the work of the Spirit of God, gives God glory, and it perceives that there is justice in the declaration of God, "I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion." How some bite their lips at this sentence!

You must not expect that she will be perfect in repentance before she is saved. No Christian can be perfect. Repentance is a grace. Some people preach it as a condition of salvation. Condition of nonsense! There are no conditions of salvation. God gives the salvation himself; and he only gives it to those to whom he will. If, then, God has given the least repentance, if it be sincere repentance, praise him for it, and expect that repentance will grow deeper and deeper.

I tell you, any repentance that keeps you or her from believing in Christ is a repentance that needs to be repented of; any repentance that makes you think Christ will not save you goes beyond the truth and against the truth. Christ was nailed to the cross for it, that is the repentance which bringeth us salvation.

The whole scheme of salvation, from the first to the last, hinges and turns, and is dependent upon the absolute will of God, and not upon the will of the creature. But we have to carry to sinners a far more hopeful message than that. Our Lord Jesus Christ has ordained that repentance should be preached in quite a different fashion than that, that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name among all nations.

Your prayer for your neighbor’s salvation is a good desire, for it is written that the knowledge of the Lord shall cover the earth as the waters cover the sea. But I urge you to examine the motive of your heart. You ask God to break her strong will, to bring her to brokenness and weeping. Beware lest this request spring from a personal wound or a wish to see her humbled for your own satisfaction. To desire her repentance is holy, but love does not seek vengeance. It seeks the good of the other, even when they have wronged us.

Remember the Lord’s command: to love your neighbor as yourself. If you love her, pray for her mercy, showing mercy in your own heart first. For the merciful obtain mercy, and judgment without mercy falls on the unmerciful. Therefore, if you desire God to have pity on her and lead her to salvation, you must forgive any wrong she has done you, and pray for her with genuine compassion, not with a spirit of harshness. The sorrow that works repentance is a godly sorrow, a gift of God, not a forced breaking that we demand for our own relief.

Continue to pray without ceasing, for persistent prayer is powerful. But let your prayers be joined with a watch over your own soul. Do not think that by your words alone God is moved; He looks upon works worthy of mercy. If you show kindness to your neighbor, even to one who troubles you, your prayer rises with confidence. Yet if you harbor resentment, you block your own petition. “Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.”

Finally, do not delay in seeking your own deeper repentance, for the time is short and we do not know when our Lord will call us. The rich man in the parable could only weep when it was too late. Now is the acceptable time. So pray for your neighbor’s salvation with a pure heart, and trust God’s wisdom in how He draws her. He may use affliction, He may use kindness, but He alone knows what will bring her to the knowledge of the truth. You keep praying, but pray with love, and your own soul will find comfort and salvation in the patient enduring of these trials.

It is good that you are bringing this heavy burden before the throne of God. This deep, ongoing conflict with a neighbor, especially one whose strong will seems set against what is right, can wear down the soul. I hear the cry in your request, the desire for protection and the plea that God would do whatever it takes to bring this woman to salvation. That longing for her repentance is right, because salvation is found in no other name under heaven. Jesus Himself promised that whoever comes to Him, He will never cast out.

But as we pray for her, let your own heart find its refuge. The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run into it and are safe. Your safety does not rest on her changing or even on your ability to endure her. The Lord is jealous for His people. He watches over His vineyard and waters it every moment. When the world feels unjust, remember the promise remains that God will one day judge with perfect equity. For now, your task is to go upright, speaking truth even when surrounded by slander, and not returning deceit for deceit.

You have asked God to break her strong will into a state of brokenness and weeping of spirit. Be careful here. The goal is not simply a crushed and wounded human spirit, because a wounded spirit who can bear? The true need is for a spirit broken before God, leading to repentance. Jesus Himself cried out, "Nevertheless, not my will, but yours be done." That submission is what He learned and what brought eternal salvation to us. Pray that she, like all of us, would surrender her will to the Father’s as Christ did, not merely that she be destroyed by sorrow, but that she would find the only Friend who sticks closer than a brother.

You are right to keep praying and not lose heart. We do not always know the specific will of God in another person's life, but the Spirit helps us in our weakness, interceding with groanings too deep for words. Persist in prayer through that ache. God long ago promised to rid the land of evil beasts and break the bands of the yoke from His people. Trust that He sees the situation on your street as clearly as He sees the nations. He knows how to deliver the godly out of trials and to bring the unrepentant to a place where they must face Him. Continue to stand in the gap, calling on the name of the Lord, for everyone who calls on His name will be delivered. He will do what is ultimately right, and His blessing will rest on His people.
