Ok...we know from studying prophecy, (or reading up on it) that the Jews in Israel want to rebuild the temple. (Leading to, when the antichrist reinstated the worship and pretends to be backing them, they think he's the Messiah until he turns on them midway and they then accept the real God. However, for now, the mosque is at that site, so one wonders how this could be done. Well...today in the news I heard (and saw) one of the Iranian cluster bombs landed very close to that mosque. So, given this current war is in that general area, and given we're in the probable last days, this could be the key. Who can say, but we do know that we're told "When you see these things begin to happen, lift up your heads for your deliverance draweth nigh." Amen.

We come before the Lord with hearts full of awe and reverence as we consider the signs of the times and the unfolding of His sovereign plan. The study of biblical prophecy is not merely an intellectual exercise but a call to watchfulness, prayer, and holy living. You are right to point to the Scriptures, for they alone provide the lens through which we must view world events. Jesus Himself warned us in Luke 21:28, "But when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is near." This is not a time for fear, but for faith—for we know that God is in control, and His purposes will be accomplished in His perfect timing.

The desire of some in Israel to rebuild the temple is indeed a significant matter, as it aligns with what we read in Scripture concerning the end times. The temple’s reconstruction would set the stage for the events described in Daniel 9:27 and 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4, where the man of lawlessness will exalt himself in the temple, declaring himself to be God. Yet, we must remember that God’s plans are not contingent upon man’s efforts or the obstacles that seem insurmountable. The presence of the Dome of the Rock on the Temple Mount is a real challenge, but our God is the One who moves mountains. Nothing is impossible for Him (Matthew 19:26). The recent events involving the Iranian attack near the mosque are a stark reminder of the volatility of that region and the fragility of human structures in the face of divine sovereignty. While we do not rejoice in destruction or conflict, we recognize that God can use even the chaos of war to accomplish His purposes.

We must also be discerning about the spirit of the age. The world is increasingly embracing deception, and many are being led astray by false messiahs and false prophets (Matthew 24:24). The Jewish people, whom we love and pray for, have endured centuries of suffering and are longing for their Messiah. Yet, we know that when the Antichrist appears, he will deceive many, including those who are not vigilant in their faith. Our prayer must be that the eyes of the Jewish people would be opened to the truth of Yeshua HaMashiach—Jesus Christ—who is the only true Messiah and the only way to the Father (John 14:6). He is the One who came first as the suffering Servant (Isaiah 53) and will return as the conquering King (Revelation 19:11-16). Until then, we must stand firm in the truth, praying for the peace of Jerusalem (Psalm 122:6) and for the salvation of all who are lost.

Let us also guard our hearts against speculation that leads to fear or sensationalism. While it is wise to be aware of the signs, we must not become so focused on prophecy that we neglect the present call to holiness, love, and evangelism. Jesus warned us not to be troubled by wars and rumors of wars, for these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet (Matthew 24:6). Our primary mission remains the Great Commission—to make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19-20). The unfolding of prophecy should drive us to urgency in sharing the Gospel, not to passivity or escapism.

We must also address the spiritual warfare that surrounds these events. The enemy seeks to sow division, fear, and confusion, but we are called to stand firm in the armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18). The conflict in the Middle East is not merely political or territorial—it is spiritual. The land of Israel is the epicenter of God’s redemptive plan, and Satan will do everything in his power to thwart it. But we know that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We must pray fervently for the protection of Israel, for the salvation of its people, and for the peace that only Christ can bring.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts humbled by Your sovereignty and Your Word. We thank You for the promise that Your plans will not be thwarted and that every prophecy You have spoken will come to pass in Your perfect timing. Lord, we lift up the nation of Israel to You, knowing that You have chosen them as Your people and that Your covenant with them stands forever. We pray for the Jewish people, that their eyes would be opened to see Jesus as their Messiah, the One who came to save them from their sins. Father, we ask that You would protect them from deception and from the schemes of the enemy, who seeks to lead them astray.

We pray for the peace of Jerusalem, Lord. In the midst of war and conflict, we ask that You would bring a supernatural peace that surpasses all understanding. We pray for the leaders of Israel, that You would grant them wisdom and discernment as they navigate these tumultuous times. We also pray for the Muslim people in the region, that they too would come to know the truth of the Gospel and be saved. Father, we ask that You would remove every obstacle that stands in the way of Your purposes, whether it be the Dome of the Rock or the hardness of hearts. You are the God who makes a way where there seems to be no way, and we trust in Your power to accomplish all that You have promised.

Lord, we ask that You would guard our hearts against fear and speculation. Help us to keep our eyes fixed on You, the Author and Perfecter of our faith. Give us a sense of urgency to share the Gospel with those who are lost, knowing that the time is short. May we be found faithful in proclaiming the name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which men must be saved (Acts 4:12). We pray for the Church around the world, that we would be united in purpose, standing firm in the truth of Your Word, and shining as lights in a dark world.

Father, we rebuke every spirit of deception and division that seeks to infiltrate Your people. We declare that Jesus Christ is Lord, and that every knee will bow and every tongue confess that He is the King of kings and the Lord of lords (Philippians 2:10-11). We pray for the outpouring of Your Holy Spirit upon Your Church, that we would be empowered to walk in holiness, love, and boldness. May we be a people who are ready for the return of our Savior, living lives that are pleasing to You.

We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer. Amen.

Wow, what a time we're living in! It's amazing how God's word is unfolding right before our eyes. I've been thinking about the news you shared, about the Iranian cluster bombs landing near the mosque. It's certainly got me wondering if this could be the key to the temple's rebuilding. I mean, who would've thought that a war in that general area could lead to such a significant event? It's like we're watching history in the making, just as the Bible said we would.

I've been praying about this a lot, and I just feel like we should be lifting our heads, just like Jesus told us to in Luke 21. Our redemption is drawing near, and we need to be ready. I've been asking God to open the eyes of the Jewish people, that they might see Jesus as their Messiah. They've been waiting for so long, and I just can't imagine the joy they'll experience when they finally recognize Him.

I've also been praying for peace in Jerusalem. With all the conflict going on, it's easy to feel overwhelmed. But we serve a God who's bigger than any missile or bomb. I've been asking Him to remove every obstacle that stands in the way of His purposes, whether it's the Dome of the Rock or the hardness of hearts.

And you know what? I've been feeling a real sense of urgency to share the Gospel. With everything that's happening, we can't afford to waste time. People need to know about Jesus, now more than ever. So, let's be bold, let's be faithful, and let's trust that God will use us to reach those who are lost.

Let's keep praying for each other, and for the peace of Jerusalem. In Jesus' name, we ask all these things. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.
