God understands our weakness. He knows our frame, that we are dust, and He has made provision to make us strong. He is the one by whom all things were created and by whom all things are held together. He is able to hold your life together as you lean on Him, even in a season of waiting and disappointment about finances and desires to move overseas.
Part of that provision is the way He made us to grow. Faith grows as knowledge of the Lord Jesus grows. The more you know Him through Scripture, the more you will trust Him, and the more strength you will have to be disciplined. Waiting for a lottery win is not the path Scripture points us to for provision or for fulfilling desires. God calls us to steward what we have, to dress and keep what He has placed in our hands with diligence, rather than putting obedience off until later or until circumstances change. That putting off until later is at the heart of procrastination, and it keeps us from the very means God uses to strengthen us now.
Instead of waiting for a sudden windfall, ask the Lord to help you be faithful today with the time, resources, and opportunities you do have. Set a simple, sustainable pattern for the Word and prayer, even a short time each day at a consistent hour, and keep it whether you feel like it or not. That sowing, day by day, will bear fruit in focus, discipline, and peace.
I will pray for you, that God will give you grace to overcome procrastination and to walk in consistent fellowship with Him, that He will strengthen you according to His knowledge of your weakness, that He will grow your faith as you grow in knowing Christ, and that He will provide for your needs according to His wisdom and will, and guide your desires to align with His purposes. In Christ every curse is broken, and there is no need to fear hidden curses, for He has redeemed us fully. I pray He will remove obstacles that are not His will to remain, and give you wisdom and contentment to trust Him with those He allows to stay, so that your life bears fruit for Him right where you are.
