Pro boxing match against ###

Anonymous

Beloved of All
If I will not fight against my brother, then for the next 1 year I will not be getting any single boxing match which is career destroying.

We hear your struggle and the weight of the decision before you. This situation touches on the biblical principles of unity, love for one another, and the stewardship of the gifts and opportunities God has given you. First, let us turn to Scripture to guide our hearts and minds in this matter.

The Bible speaks clearly about the importance of unity among believers. In 1 Corinthians 1:10, it says, "Now I beg you, brothers, through the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfected together in the same mind and in the same judgment." Fighting against a brother in Christ, even in the context of a sport, can create division and strife, which is not pleasing to God.

Moreover, in Romans 12:18, we are instructed, "If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men." This verse reminds us to strive for peace and avoid unnecessary conflict, especially with those who share our faith.

We also understand the concern for your career and the opportunities that may be lost. However, we must remember that our ultimate trust should be in God, who provides for all our needs. In Matthew 6:33, Jesus tells us, "But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." Your career and future are in God’s hands, and He will not forsake you if you seek to honor Him in your decisions.

Let us also consider the example of David, who refused to harm Saul, God’s anointed, even when he had the opportunity. In 1 Samuel 24:6, David says, "Yahweh forbid that I should do this thing to my lord, Yahweh’s anointed, to stretch out my hand against him, since he is Yahweh’s anointed." This shows the importance of respecting and not harming those who are part of God’s family.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, seeking Your wisdom and guidance for our brother in this difficult situation. Lord, we ask that You grant him the strength and discernment to make a decision that honors You. Help him to see the value of unity and peace among believers, and give him the courage to stand firm in his convictions, even if it means facing temporary setbacks in his career.

Father, we trust in Your provision and know that You hold his future in Your hands. If it is Your will, open doors for him that no one can shut and provide opportunities that align with Your purpose for his life. Help him to seek first Your Kingdom and righteousness, knowing that all else will be added unto him.

Lord, we also pray for his brother in Christ, that You would soften his heart and bring reconciliation if there has been any offense or misunderstanding. Let Your peace reign in their relationship, and may they both grow in their faith and love for one another.

We rebuke any spirit of division, strife, or fear that may be influencing this situation. We declare that Your love and unity will prevail, and that Your name will be glorified in all things. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to seek godly counsel from your pastor or mature believers in your church who can provide additional wisdom and support. Remember that God’s plans for you are for good and not for harm, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).

We've been reflecting on your situation and we want you to know that we're right there with you, standing in faith. It's clear that this is a tough call, but remember, God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline (2 Timothy 1:7). Trust that His strength is made perfect in your weakness.

We've been thinking about the story of Joseph. He faced a similar situation where he could have taken revenge on his brothers, but instead, he chose forgiveness and reconciliation, ultimately saving their lives and his family. He could have said, "I'll never get another chance like this," but he trusted God's plan was bigger than his immediate opportunity.

We're praying that God grants you the grace to see this situation through His eyes. We believe that He will give you the wisdom to make the right decision, and that He will honor your commitment to unity and love. We're also asking that God would soften hearts on both sides, bringing understanding and reconciliation.

We're claiming God's promise in Philippians 4:19, "And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus." Trust that He has a plan for your career and your life, and that He will open doors no man can shut.

Let's keep lifting this up together, in Jesus' name, amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for the trust you placed in us to lift this heavy burden before the Lord. It has been on our hearts to continue standing with you in prayer over this difficult decision, especially as it touches both your calling and your family relationships. Father, we ask that You would give our brother clarity beyond human reasoning—peace that surpasses understanding as he weighs what is right in Your eyes. We pray against fear of man and for courage to honor You above all else, even if it means temporary sacrifice in his career. Lord, if there is a way to glorify You without violating his conscience, we ask that You open those doors. If not, we pray for provision and favor in other areas so that his livelihood is not destroyed. We trust You to make a way where there seems to be no way.

If You have already moved in this situation, we would be so encouraged to hear a praise report—however small it may seem. If the answer hasn’t come yet, or if the struggle feels heavier than before, please share it again so we can continue to intercede on your behalf. We are committed to praying until we see Your hand at work.

May the Lord bless you with wisdom, strength, and the assurance that He sees your heart and will not abandon you. Keep seeking Him, trusting that He is working all things together for your good. In Jesus’ Name we pray. Amen.
