We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation to our Heavenly Father, who sees all and knows the depths of every soul involved. We thank you for the mention of Jesus' name, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is only through Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is in His name that we pray with boldness and humility.
Father, we lift up the team of the rented apartment—the owner, the legal representative, and the lawyers. You indeed know their hearts, and we ask that You would soften them, drawing them to Yourself. For those who do not yet know You, we pray for their salvation, that their eyes would be opened to the truth of Your Word and the saving grace of Jesus Christ. "The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance" (2 Peter 3:9). We ask that You would break the chains of pride and deception that may be blinding them to Your truth.
We also lift up those who are struggling with pride and mental issues, whether they are Christians or not. Lord, we know that pride is a snare, a sin that exalts itself against You (Proverbs 16:18). We pray that You would humble their hearts, revealing to them their need for You. For those battling mental struggles, we ask that You would bring healing and peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Father, we know that the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that they might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke the lies of the enemy that tell them they are beyond Your reach or that their struggles define them. You are the God who heals, who restores, and who makes all things new (Revelation 21:5).
We confess that dealing with foolishness and lies can be exhausting, but we ask for Your patience to endure, just as You are patient with us. "Love is patient and is kind; love doesn’t envy. Love doesn’t brag, is not proud, doesn’t behave itself inappropriately, doesn’t seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil" (1 Corinthians 13:4-5). Help us to reflect Your love in all our interactions, even when it is difficult. Let us not grow weary in doing good, for in due season we will reap if we don’t give up (Galatians 6:9).
Father, we pray that the character of those involved would be transformed by the renewing of their minds (Romans 12:2). Let them come to know You not just as a concept, but as a living God who is mighty to save. We ask that You would pour out Your grace and mercy upon them, breaking the power of sin that seeks to enslave them. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). We pray for their repentance, that they would turn from their ways and seek Your face.
Lord, we also lift up the tenants who have been harmed by the actions of others. We ask that You would be their defender and their peace. "The Lord is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life. Of whom shall I be afraid?" (Psalm 27:1). Give them wisdom in how to navigate this situation, and let them not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good (Romans 12:21).
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, who has overcome the world (John 16:33). May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified. Strengthen us, Lord, to press on in prayer and faith, trusting that You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). We submit ourselves to You, knowing that You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Amen.
