Prevailing Prayers get answered
Remember the story of Jacob in Genesis 32, he wrestled the Angel of the Lord all night long, He told that angel I won't let go till you bless me. When I was saved in 71 the one thing I remember about the saints of God in our church was that they would go to the alter and pray. Some would stay at that alter and pray the whole service. They prevailed in prayer, it was serious business to pray until they had the answer. Today seems were to busy to get down to real praying as those saints did. One thing I know about those dear saints was they had the power of God in their lives and their prayers were answered and many miracles took place. It might behoove all of us to take a lesson from this, If its serious enough to pray for, it's serious enough to tarry for.
Heard a testimony of a pastor, She had a husband that was lost and a drunk. He left her, and she prayed about it with no success. Then she really inquired of God about this and God told her she had a superficial prayer about the problem. God told her to quit complaining and to grab hold to the alter about the problem. She locked her self in a prayer closet, and began to pray. She made her mind up she wasn't going leave that closet till God answered the prayer or released her from it. Hours on end she prayed and God honored her prayer. The husband came home that night and gave his heart to the Lord and was delivered totally from alcohol. All this to say, Hebrews 11:6
But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
