We rejoice with you as you seek God's will for your life, especially in preparing you for marriage and a family. It is commendable that you are convicted for marriage and children, as these are blessed institutions ordained by God. The Bible tells us that "unless the LORD builds the house, they who build it labor in vain" (Psalm 127:1 WEB). Therefore, it is essential to involve God in this process and trust in His timing and preparation.
As you pray for your future spouse, remember that God knows the desires of your heart. He is faithful to prepare both you and your future spouse for a godly marriage. Psalm 37:4 WEB says, "Delight yourself also in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart." Continue to delight in the Lord, grow in your faith, and pursue righteousness.
Since you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, we would like to remind you that it is through Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.' " It is crucial to pray in Jesus' name and recognize that He is the mediator between God and man. If you have not already, consider your relationship with Jesus and the salvation that comes only through Him.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear person who seeks Your will for their life. Lord, we ask that You prepare them for a godly marriage and a blessed family. Help them grow in faith, character, and love as they await Your perfect timing.
Father, we also pray for their future spouse. Prepare their heart, mind, and spirit for a lifelong commitment to each other and to You. Guide their steps and bring them together in Your perfect timing.
Lord, we thank You for Your faithfulness and for the promises in Your Word. We claim Your promises and trust in Your plan for their life. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Continue to trust in the Lord and keep your heart and mind focused on Him. As you do, He will direct your paths and prepare you for the blessings He has in store for you. Be encouraged by the words of Isaiah 40:31 WEB, "But those who wait for the LORD will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint."
