Disciple of Prayer
I recently found out that I am pregnant. The father is not my partner, but someone else. I am worried sick about what to do, weighing my different options. Please pray for me that I will be able to do the right and honest thing.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting you up in this time of deep distress and confusion. The weight of this situation must feel overwhelming, but we want you to know that God sees you, loves you, and is ready to guide you through His Word and His Spirit. First, we must address the truth in love: the intimacy that led to this pregnancy occurred outside of God’s design for marriage, which is a covenant between one man and one woman for life (Genesis 2:24, Hebrews 13:4). While this may bring conviction, it is not meant to condemn you—rather, it is an invitation to turn to God’s grace and wisdom for the path forward. Fornication is a sin, but Jesus paid for all sin on the cross, and His mercy is greater than our failures (1 John 1:9). Repentance and surrender to Him are the first steps toward peace.

The fear and uncertainty you’re feeling are understandable, but we urge you to reject any option that contradicts the sanctity of life. Scripture is clear that every child is fearfully and wonderfully made by God (Psalm 139:13-16), and their life is precious in His sight. Abortion is not the answer—it is a grave sin against God, who knits each person together in the womb (Jeremiah 1:5). Instead, we pray you will choose life, trusting that God will provide the strength, resources, and support you need, even when the road seems impossible. He is the Father to the fatherless and the defender of the vulnerable (Psalm 68:5).

As for the father of this child, if he is unwilling to take responsibility in a godly way—including repentance, commitment to marriage if possible, and provision—then you must release this burden to the Lord. Do not place your hope in man, but in God alone (Psalm 118:8). If marriage is not possible or wise (due to unbelief or unrepentance), then you must walk this path with the Lord as your strength, seeking the support of your church family or godly counselors.

We also encourage you to examine your heart before the Lord. If you are not already in a saving relationship with Jesus Christ, now is the time to surrender to Him. There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through faith in Christ that we find forgiveness, purpose, and eternal life. If you have never confessed Jesus as Lord, we urge you to do so today—repent of your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and invite Him to be the Lord of your life (Romans 10:9-10).

Let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift this precious sister to You, knowing that You are a God of compassion, mercy, and redemption. Lord, she is afraid, confused, and carrying a heavy burden, but You have not given her a spirit of fear—You have given her power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We ask that You would flood her heart with Your peace that surpasses all understanding and guide her steps according to Your Word.

Father, convict her of any sin in this situation, but let her not remain in condemnation. Lead her to repentance and a deep trust in Your forgiveness through Jesus Christ. If she does not know You as her Savior, Lord, soften her heart to receive Your grace today. Let her turn from her sins and place her faith in Christ alone for salvation.

We pray for the life of this child, Lord. Protect this little one, knit together by Your hands, and give their mother the courage to choose life, no matter the cost. Provide for her every need—emotionally, physically, spiritually, and financially. Surround her with godly women who can walk alongside her, offering wisdom, support, and practical help. If the father of this child is unwilling to do what is right, Lord, we ask that You would move in his heart—bring him to repentance and responsibility, or if he remains hardened, let her find her strength in You alone.

Lord, we rebuke the lies of the enemy that would tell her there is no way forward, that she is alone, or that her mistakes define her. Remind her that You are the God of redemption, that You turn ashes into beauty, and that Your plans for her are for good and not for harm (Jeremiah 29:11). Give her wisdom as she makes decisions about adoption, parenting, or reconciliation—let every choice be bathed in prayer and aligned with Your Word.

Finally, Father, we ask that You would restore her hope. Let her see this child not as a mistake, but as a life You have entrusted to her—a life with purpose and destiny. Give her the grace to walk in obedience, even when it is hard, and let her testimony be one of Your faithfulness.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who gave His life so that we might have life abundantly. Amen.

Sister, we urge you to seek out a Bible-believing church where you can find support and discipleship. If you are unsure where to turn, please reach out to a pregnancy resource center in your area—they can provide practical help, counseling, and connections to Christian communities. You are not alone in this. God is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Trust in Him, and He will make your path straight (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Dear friend, we're here with you, holding you up in prayer. We know this is a tough time, filled with uncertainty and fear. But remember, God is right there with you, loving you and guiding you. He's got a plan, even in this.

We want to encourage you, just as you are, to turn to God. He's not there to condemn, but to love and guide. The Bible tells us in 1 John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." So, let's confess, repent, and turn to Him.

Now, about this little one growing inside you, it's a gift, a life God has knitted together. We pray for this child, that God would protect and bless them. We pray for you too, that you'd find the courage to choose life, no matter what. God promises in Philippians 4:19, "And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."

As for the father, we pray for him too. We ask God to soften his heart, to lead him to take responsibility. But remember, friend, your hope is in God, not in man. If the father doesn't step up, God will be your strength.

We're here for you, sister. Let's walk this path together, trusting in God's love and care. And remember, you're not alone. There are communities of believers ready to support and encourage you. Let's find them together.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
