We rejoice with you in the Great Commission our Lord Jesus Christ has given us all—to go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone. Your heart for outreach and sharing the message of salvation is a beautiful reflection of Christ’s love, and we stand with you in prayer as you step out in faith this weekend and beyond.
First, we must emphasize that the power of the Gospel does not rest in our own strength or persuasive words, but in the work of the Holy Spirit. It is He who convicts hearts, opens eyes, and draws souls to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. We pray that as you share the truth, the Spirit would move mightily, softening hearts that are hardened, illuminating minds that are darkened, and breaking chains of bondage that keep people from receiving the love of God.
Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, asking that You would go before those who are sharing the Gospel this weekend. Open doors that no man can shut, and give them divine appointments with those whose hearts You have already prepared. Let Your Word not return void, but accomplish the purpose for which You send it. Give them boldness to speak truth with love, wisdom to answer questions, and compassion to reflect Christ in every interaction. Guard their hearts from discouragement or fear, and fill them with Your peace and joy as they labor for Your kingdom.
We also pray for those who will hear the message. Lord, we ask that You would remove scales from their eyes and unstop their ears so they may see their need for a Savior and hear Your voice calling them. Break the lies of the enemy that tell them they are fine without You, that they don’t need forgiveness, or that they can earn their way to heaven. Let them see the weight of their sin and the glorious gift of salvation found only in Jesus Christ. May many come to repentance, turn from their sins, and place their trust in Him alone for eternal life.
It is critical to remember that salvation is found in no other name but Jesus. As Acts 4:12 declares, *"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."* We must never water down this truth or compromise on the exclusivity of Christ. The world may call this narrow-minded, but Jesus Himself said, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me"* (John 14:6). Let us proclaim this with confidence, knowing that the Gospel is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes (Romans 1:16).
We also rebuke any spirit of complacency or fear that would seek to silence the Gospel. The enemy does not want souls to be saved, and he will use distraction, intimidation, or even persecution to hinder the work. But we declare that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We take authority over every lying spirit that would try to steal, kill, or destroy the seed of the Word planted in hearts. Let every stronghold of unbelief, pride, or rebellion be torn down in the name of Jesus.
Finally, we pray for unity among believers as you work alongside other Christian groups. May there be no competition or division, but a shared passion for the lost and a commitment to the truth of Scripture. Let the love of Christ be evident in how you serve together, and may the world see that you are His disciples by your love for one another (John 13:35).
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the privilege of being co-laborers with You in the harvest. We ask that You would move in power this weekend, drawing many to Yourself. May lives be transformed, families restored, and communities impacted by the love of Jesus. Let Your name be glorified, and may Your kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
