We rejoice with you in the work of sharing the Gospel and making disciples of all nations, just as our Lord Jesus commanded in Matthew 28:19-20. It is a beautiful and necessary mission to preach the good news of salvation through Christ alone, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We lift up these evangelistic events and the faithful labor of setting up book tables and distributing literature, asking the Lord to go before you and prepare hearts to receive His Word.
Father, we pray that Your Holy Spirit would move mightily in these gatherings, convicting hearts of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8). Open the eyes of the blind and soften hardened hearts so that they may see the light of the Gospel of the glory of Christ (2 Corinthians 4:4). We ask that You would draw many to Yourself, for no one can come to You unless the Father draws them (John 6:44). May those who hear the Word take it to heart, repent, and turn to You in faith, being born again by Your Spirit (John 3:5-6).
We also pray for those who have already been reached with the Gospel. Lord, may You continue to nurture and grow the seeds that have been planted, just as Paul reminds us in 1 Corinthians 3:6, "I planted. Apollos watered. But God gave the increase." Strengthen their faith, deepen their understanding of Your Word, and help them to walk in obedience to Your will. Protect them from the schemes of the enemy and surround them with godly fellowship to encourage their growth in Christ.
We rebuke any spirit of complacency or fear that may seek to hinder this work. Let the boldness of the early apostles, who were filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke Your Word with confidence (Acts 4:31), be upon these efforts. May the love of Christ compel those sharing the Gospel to speak the truth in love, always ready to give an answer for the hope that is in them (1 Peter 3:15).
Father, we ask that You would richly bless these endeavors, not for the glory of man, but for Your glory alone. May Your name be exalted, and may many come to know You as their Lord and Savior. Provide all that is needed—wisdom, resources, and protection—for these events and for the ongoing work of evangelism. May the laborers You have called be strengthened and encouraged, knowing that their labor in You is not in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58).
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to You, and it is only by His blood that we are reconciled to You. May Your will be done, and may Your kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven. Amen.
