Praying

Beloved of All
For some financial issues to be resolved and nothing else to happen. Husbands job to not be in jeopardy. Give us at least 8 more years please. Please solve his disability issues. Please bring a promised promotion to my son. Please take care of these issues father. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

We join with you in bringing these burdens before our Father and we thank you for coming in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the throne of grace.

We hear the weight of these financial concerns and the fear over your husband's job and health, and the hope you carry for your son. We are reminded of the promise in Philippians 4:19, My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. And in Matthew 6:33, But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Our Father knows what you need before you ask and He cares deeply for your family.

We understand your prayer for at least 8 more years of stability and provision, and we bring that desire before the Lord while also surrendering to His perfect will and timing. We are encouraged to trust Him with the future as it says in Proverbs 3:5-6, Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. And in 1 Peter 5:7, casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you.

We also lift up your husband's disability issues before the Great Physician. We pray for strength, healing according to God's will, and grace for each day. We remember Psalm 55:22, Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved.

For your son and the promised promotion, we commit his work into the Lord's hands. We pray that if this promotion is in accordance with God's will and for his good, that the Lord will open that door, and that your son would find favor and walk in integrity. As it says in Proverbs 16:3, Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed. And in Colossians 3:23, Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men.

Let us pray together.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus and we lift this family to You. Lord, You see the financial pressures they are facing and we ask for Your provision and Your peace. Give them wisdom to steward what You have provided and calm their hearts with the assurance that You are their provider. We ask for Your hand of protection over her husband's job, that You would secure his employment if it is Your will, and let no weapon formed against him prosper. We pray for his body, for relief from disability and pain, for healing and endurance, and for Your strength to sustain him daily. Father, we ask for Your favor upon their son, that You would guide his steps and if it be Your will, bring about the promotion that has been promised, that he may use it to glorify You and provide well. Above all, Lord, we surrender this request for eight more years into Your sovereign hands, trusting that Your plans are good and that You will supply all that is needed for as long as You have ordained. Grant this family peace that surpasses understanding as they cast their cares on You. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to continue to seek Him daily in prayer and in His Word, to remain faithful in thanksgiving even in uncertainty, and to trust that He who has been faithful will remain faithful. As Psalm 37:25 says, I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children begging for bread. Keep your eyes on Him, and He will sustain you.

We hear how heavy this feels right now, holding so many concerns at once, your husband's job and health, the finances that depend on them, and your hope for your son as well. Wanting stability for at least eight more years is understandable, and we are praying with you for God's provision and wisdom in each of these areas.

When work, money, and ongoing disability needs all press together, it is normal to swing between feeling numb and feeling overwhelmed. Grief and worry and even anger can surface, especially when a health condition is long lasting and affects daily life and employment. You don't have to walk through that alone. Staying connected to trusted people, family, your church community, and the doctors and support services who know your husband's disability needs, can make the load lighter, alongside prayer.

One practical step that often helps in a season like this is to name the most immediate pressure point together. If you can, set aside a quiet half hour this week with your husband to list what is most urgent financially and at work, and who is the best person to talk with next, whether that is human resources about job and disability accommodations, a benefits office, or a pastor or counselor who can help you think through the budget. You don't need to solve everything at once.

If your husband has not already, we encourage continuing to stay in touch with his care team about his disability needs while we pray for relief and strength.

Father, we bring this family to You in Jesus' name. Provide for their financial needs, watch over this husband's job and health, give them clear next steps and peace as they wait on You, and guide their son's work as well. Lead them day by day and remind them You are near. Amen.

Your burden has been laid before the throne of grace and we have taken it up with you in prayer, asking the Lord who hears the cry of His people to look upon you in mercy.

We understand the weight of these cares, for financial straits and the fear lest a husband's employment be in jeopardy, and bodily infirmity, and a mother's hope for her son, are trials which press heavily upon the heart. Remember Job among the ashes, who in all his losses and pains sinned not nor charged God foolishly, but fell down and worshipped. The Lord who tried him also sustained him, and in His own time turned again his captivity. So let us draw near in childlike confidence even when He seems to frown, for He is gracious and His compassions fail not. Our longest sorrows have an end when God has gotten His end in them, which is to show His faithfulness and to make us know Him more nearly. Job had heard of God by the hearing of the ear, but afterward his eye saw Him, and that sight brought holy submission.

We have prayed that the Lord would provide for your financial needs according to His riches in Christ, that He would preserve your husband's place of labour if it be His will, and give him strength under disability and such healing as Infinite Wisdom sees best to give. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ, whose leaves are for the healing of the nations, yea the least thing about Christ has healing virtue, and the Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings. We have asked also for your son, that the Lord would order his steps and grant favour in his work according to righteousness, and that promotion, if it be for his good and for the glory of God, may be given, and if not, that a better portion may be supplied.

We do not ask as those who would contend with our Maker, for we are wrong and God must be right, but as those who plead the merit of Jesus Christ alone, through whom pardon and healing are placed in happy conjunction. May the Lord grant you fresh oil and renewed strength as He did for Job, whose latter end was more blessed than his beginning, and may He keep you in patient hope, looking to Him for daily grace. Cast all your care upon Him, for He cares for you, and rest in this, that He who has begun a good work will perfect it till the day of Jesus Christ.

We continue to intercede for you, that whether the answer be eight years or a longer or shorter season, you may have contentment in His will and see His hand in all your mercies. May the Lord bless you and keep you, and give you to know the forgiveness of sins and the healing which comes from His pardoning hand, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
