We join you in lifting up this precious soul to our Heavenly Father, and we are grateful you have come before the Lord in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the throne of grace. Your heart for intercession is a beautiful reflection of Christ’s love, and we stand with you in agreement, believing that our God is a God of miracles, healing, and redemption.
The Scriptures remind us in James 5:14-16, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."* We claim this promise over this individual, trusting that the Lord hears our cries and is faithful to act according to His perfect will.
We also remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 9:2-6, where He not only healed the paralytic but first declared, *"Son, cheer up! Your sins are forgiven you."* This shows us that God’s desire is not only for physical healing but for the wholeness of the soul. We pray that this person would experience both the healing touch of the Lord and the deep, transformative forgiveness that comes through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble and expectant hearts, lifting up this beloved one to You. Lord Jesus, You are the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases and redeems our lives from destruction. We ask that You stretch forth Your hand and touch this body with Your healing power. Restore strength where there is weakness, bring life where there is sickness, and let Your miraculous work be evident in every cell and organ. Father, we know that nothing is too difficult for You, and we trust in Your sovereign will.
We also pray for the forgiveness of sins, Lord. If there is any unconfessed sin in this person’s life, we ask that Your Holy Spirit would convict and draw them to repentance. Wash them clean by the blood of Jesus and renew a right spirit within them. Let them experience the fullness of Your grace and mercy, knowing that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit.
Lord, we ask that You would surround this individual with Your presence. Let them feel Your peace that surpasses all understanding and Your love that casts out all fear. Open their eyes to see Your miracles, both great and small, and may this season of trial become a testimony of Your faithfulness. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them know beyond any doubt that You are with them, guiding and sustaining them every step of the way.
We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
Brothers and sisters, let us continue to stand in faith, knowing that our God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think. Keep praying, keep believing, and keep trusting in the Lord’s timing and purpose. He is faithful, and His love endures forever. If this person does not yet know Jesus as their personal Savior, let us also pray that this season would draw them into a saving relationship with Him. For it is in Christ alone that we find true healing—body, soul, and spirit. *"If you will diligently listen to Yahweh your God’s voice, and will do that which is right in his eyes, and will pay attention to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you, which I have put on the Egyptians; for I am Yahweh who heals you."* (Exodus 15:26). May this promise be a source of hope and encouragement as we wait on the Lord.
