Praying in Jesus name against lies and pride

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we thank you, for you are the Lord of Truth. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. We lift your name on high.

Matthew 6:33 says:

But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

Based on this verse, we come to you believing that if we prioritise seeking you, you will bless us. We thank you for this promise, and we will stand by it.

The word says,

  • Obadiah 1:3 (ESV): "The pride of your heart has deceived you..."

Lord, we lift up those who believed the lies with full compassion, deceiving themselves in the process, which is an even greater danger.

Lord, we ask for your healing grace and mercy.

May those who believed lies be healed in mind, soul and heart.

Those who believed...

1. They can lie and demand high amounts of money despite not providing any value.
2) They can get away with making false accusations and threats and manipulating inspection results.
3. They can get away with disrespecting the law and human dignity.
4. They can get away with charging huge sums for a life-threatening apartment that has no grounding, with both DC and AC voltages detected in the shower.

Lord, we pray for those who read or hear the Bible but fail to apply it.

James 1:22-24 Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like. ....
Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like.

Lord Jesus, we pray that their hearts are purified.

Lord Jesus, we pray that you will speak to their hearts, convincing them to stop fighting and filling their minds with an understanding of your laws and of human dignity.

Thank you for your love and mercies that endure forever. AMEN

We stand together in agreement with your prayer, lifting up these concerns before the throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. The battle against lies and pride is indeed a spiritual one, and we recognize that only through the power of God can hearts be transformed and truth prevail.

The scriptures you’ve shared are powerful reminders of God’s call to righteousness. Matthew 6:33 (WEB) declares, *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you."* This is not merely a suggestion but a command—a foundational principle for living a life that honors God. When we prioritize His kingdom, we align ourselves with His will, and He faithfully provides for our needs. Yet, how often do we see people—even those who claim to follow Christ—neglect this truth, chasing after worldly gain, power, or validation instead of seeking God’s righteousness?

Obadiah 1:3 (WEB) warns, *"The pride of your heart has deceived you, you who dwell in the clefts of the rock, whose habitation is high, who says in his heart, ‘Who will bring me down to the ground?’"* Pride is a deceptive force, blinding individuals to their own sin and hardening their hearts against God’s truth. It leads to exploitation, manipulation, and a disregard for both divine and human law. The examples you’ve listed—those who lie for financial gain, make false accusations, disrespect the law, or endanger lives for profit—are manifestations of this pride. These are not merely social injustices; they are sins that grieve the heart of God. We must not shy away from calling them what they are: rebellion against God’s order.

James 1:22-24 (WEB) cuts to the heart of the matter: *"But be doers of the word, and not only hearers, deluding your own selves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man looking at his natural face in a mirror; for he sees himself, and goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was."* It is not enough to read the Bible or hear its words; we must live them. The Word of God is a mirror, reflecting our true condition, but if we walk away unchanged, we deceive ourselves. This is a sobering truth for all of us, for none are exempt from the temptation to compartmentalize faith, keeping it confined to Sundays or personal devotion while living contrary to it in our daily lives.

We lift up those who have believed lies, whether about themselves, others, or God. Lies are the devil’s native tongue (John 8:44), and he uses them to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). But Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6), and His truth sets us free (John 8:32). We pray for those ensnared by deception, that their eyes would be opened to the truth of God’s Word. May they see the emptiness of their pride and the destruction it brings—not only to others but to their own souls.

We also pray for those who have been victims of these injustices. For those who have been financially exploited, falsely accused, or endangered by the greed and lawlessness of others, we ask for God’s justice and restoration. Psalm 37:6 (WEB) assures us, *"He will make your righteousness go out as the light, and your justice as the noon day sun."* We trust that God sees every injustice and will bring His perfect justice in His perfect timing.

Lord, we come before You now, interceding for those whose hearts are hardened by pride and deception. We ask that You break the chains of lies that bind them, that You soften their hearts to receive Your truth, and that You convict them of their sin—not to shame them, but to lead them to repentance and life. We pray for a revival of truth in their minds, a hunger for righteousness in their hearts, and a commitment to live according to Your Word.

We rebuke the spirit of deception and pride in the name of Jesus Christ. We declare that no weapon formed against Your people shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we stand on the promise that the truth will prevail. We pray for those who have been deceived into believing that they can live apart from Your laws, that they would come to know the freedom and joy of walking in obedience to You.

Father, we ask that You would raise up men and women of integrity—those who will stand for truth, justice, and righteousness in a world that often rewards deceit and exploitation. Give us the courage to speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15) and to live as lights in the darkness (Matthew 5:14-16). May our lives reflect Your holiness, and may we be instruments of Your peace and justice in every sphere of influence.

We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and Your mercy. You are slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love (Psalm 103:8), and we trust in Your promise to complete the good work You have begun in us (Philippians 1:6). Strengthen us to seek You first in all things, to walk in humility, and to live as doers of Your Word.

In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we join you in prayer for those who have been deceived by lies and pride. We ask for your healing grace to touch their hearts, minds, and souls. We pray that they would come to know the truth of your love and the freedom that comes from living in it. We ask that you would give them a hunger for righteousness and a commitment to live according to your word. We pray in Jesus' name, Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
