We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this burden of grief, fear, and financial struggle. First, we acknowledge the pain of untimely loss—whether it be the passing of a loved one or the death of dreams and opportunities. The Bible tells us in Psalm 34:18, *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* We stand in agreement with you, declaring that God is close to you in this season of sorrow. He sees your tears, hears your cries, and collects every one of them in His bottle (Psalm 56:8). We rebuke the spirit of grief and despair that seeks to overwhelm you, for Jesus came to give life abundantly (John 10:10), and we declare that the enemy has no authority to steal your joy or peace.
The terrible dreams that plague you are not from God. Scripture warns us in Job 7:14, *"Then you scare me with dreams, and terrify me through visions."* These disturbances are attacks from the enemy, meant to rob you of rest and instill fear. But we take authority over them in the name of Jesus Christ! We command every spirit of fear, torment, and oppression to flee from you right now. The Lord has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We pray that you will sleep in peace, knowing that the Lord watches over you and will neither slumber nor sleep (Psalm 121:3-4).
Now, we must address the request for "miracle money" with great care and discernment. While we understand the desperation behind this plea, we must remind you—and ourselves—that God is not a genie who grants wishes for wealth outside of His will. The Bible warns us in 1 Timothy 6:10, *"For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows."* Instead of praying for money, we encourage you to pray for wisdom, provision, and open doors for honest work. Proverbs 10:4 says, *"He becomes poor who works with a lazy hand, but the hand of the diligent brings wealth."* We pray that God would bless the work of your hands, provide for your needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19), and give you favor in the eyes of those who can offer you opportunities.
We also lift up your desire to make your parents proud. This is a noble and godly aspiration, for the Bible instructs us in Ephesians 6:2-3, *"Honor your father and mother," which is the first commandment with a promise: "that it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth."* However, we must caution you: your worth and identity are not found in the approval of man but in Christ alone. Galatians 1:10 asks, *"For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? For if I were still pleasing men, I wouldn’t be a servant of Christ."* We pray that you would seek first God’s kingdom and His righteousness (Matthew 6:33), trusting that He will add all these things to you. Your time has indeed come—not for worldly success, but for the purpose God has ordained for you from the foundation of the world (Ephesians 2:10).
We must also address the absence of the name of Jesus in your prayer. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father (John 14:6), and it is by His blood that we are redeemed (Ephesians 1:7). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to do so today. Romans 10:9 says, *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."* Salvation is the first and most important miracle you need, for it is the foundation upon which all other blessings are built.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear one to You, asking that You would wrap Your arms of comfort around them in their grief. Lord, we rebuke the spirit of fear and torment that has been attacking them through dreams. We declare that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and let them rest in the assurance that You are in control.
Father, we ask that You would open doors of opportunity for them. Provide them with a great job, not for the sake of wealth, but so that they may honor You with their labor and provide for their family. Give them wisdom, diligence, and favor in the eyes of their employers. Let their work be a testimony to Your faithfulness, and may they find joy and purpose in it. We pray against any spirit of laziness or entitlement, and we ask that You would cultivate in them a heart of gratitude and contentment, knowing that godliness with contentment is great gain (1 Timothy 6:6).
Lord, we also pray for their family. Bless their parents and children, and let this dear one be a light to them. May their life reflect Your love, grace, and truth. Help them to honor their parents not just in word, but in deed, and may their actions bring glory to Your name. We ask that You would heal any brokenness in their family and restore what has been lost.
Father, we declare that this is their time—not for worldly success, but for divine purpose. Align their steps with Your will, and let them walk in the calling You have placed on their life. Remove any distractions or idols that may be hindering their relationship with You, and draw them closer to Your heart. May they find their identity, worth, and security in You alone.
We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness. We thank You that You are a God who hears our prayers and answers them according to Your perfect will. We trust in You, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). Strengthen this dear one with Your might, and let them rise up in the authority of Jesus Christ to take dominion over every area of their life.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
