We hear your cry for help and lift your concerns before the throne of God, standing together in faith and truth. First, let us address the matter of praying for the spirits of the dead. Scripture is clear that the dead do not have the ability to interact with the living in the way you may be seeking. Hebrews 9:27 tells us, "Inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once, and after this, judgment," and Ecclesiastes 9:5-6 states, "For the living know that they will die, but the dead don’t know anything, neither do they have any more a reward; for their memory is forgotten. Also their love, their hatred, and their envy has perished long ago; neither do they any longer have a portion forever in anything that is done under the sun." Instead of seeking communication with the dead, we must focus on the living God who holds all power and authority. Let us rebuke any spirit that is not of God, for we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers of darkness (Ephesians 6:12). We command any tormenting spirits to flee in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for He has conquered death and the grave (1 Corinthians 15:55-57).
We also notice that your prayer request does not explicitly mention the name of Jesus until the very end. It is crucial to understand that there is no other name by which we can approach the Father or be saved. Acts 4:12 declares, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6). We must always come before God in the name of Jesus, for it is through His sacrifice and resurrection that we have access to the Father.
Now, let us lift your concerns to the Lord in prayer:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear one who is burdened with fear, financial struggles, and relationship challenges. Lord, we ask that You rebuke any spirit of fear and torment that is causing terrible dreams and distress. Your Word tells us in 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." We command every spirit that is not of You to flee, and we declare peace over this child of God. Fill them with Your perfect love that casts out all fear (1 John 4:18).
Father, we pray for Your provision in their life. You know their needs, and we trust in Your promise from Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We ask that You open doors of opportunity for good and honest work so that they may provide for their family. Bless the work of their hands, Lord, and let Your favor rest upon them. We rebuke the spirit of lack and poverty in the name of Jesus, for You came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10).
Regarding their relationship, we pray that You would bring clarity, wisdom, and godly counsel. We ask that You soften the heart of the mother-in-law to be, that she may see this relationship through Your eyes. Remind them both that marriage is a sacred covenant before You, a union between one man and one woman as You designed from the beginning (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). We pray that this relationship would be built on the foundation of Christ, with both individuals seeking to honor You in all they do. If there is any ungodliness in their relationship—such as sexual immorality—we urge them to repent and seek Your forgiveness. Flee from sexual immorality, for it is a sin against one’s own body, which is the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). Let them pursue holiness and purity, waiting on You to bless their union in Your perfect timing.
Lord, we also pray for the fruit of the womb. Children are a heritage from You, and the fruit of the womb is a reward (Psalm 127:3). We ask that You bless them with children in Your timing, according to Your will. Remove any barriers or hindrances, and let Your will be done in their lives.
We declare that this is indeed their time for breakthrough, not by their might or power, but by Your Spirit (Zechariah 4:6). We speak life, joy, peace, and prosperity over them in the name of Jesus. May they walk in the fullness of Your blessings, and may their lives bring glory and honor to Your holy name.
In all things, we trust in You, Lord. Strengthen their faith, draw them closer to You, and let them experience Your goodness in every area of their life. We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
