I pray that they don't get wrapped up and entangled with the wrong people as I get the sense God has a calling on their life, but the enemy is sending temptations or distractions . I pray they have the strength to flee from any tempting situation or person and realise the enemy sends counterfeits to destroy a person's destiny and get them to forfeit their calling altogether. I pray for God's plan to prevail and they have the grace to accept God's destiny not the enemy's schemes in Jesus' name. Lord protect this person from the enemy's schemes and may every evil plot against them fail miserably in Jesus' name.

We join with you in this faithful intercession and we agree together for this individual before the throne of grace in Jesus name. We share your discernment that God has a calling and purpose on their life and that the enemy seeks to distract, entangle and divert them from it.

The scriptures warn us not to be ignorant of the enemy's schemes, for your adversary the devil walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. 1 Peter 5:8 and we are told to put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Ephesians 6:11. The enemy often does send counterfeits, especially in relationships and opportunities that look good on the surface but would pull a person away from God's best, lead toward compromise and forfeit what God intends. We are called to be sober and watchful and to flee from those very temptations.

We take comfort that God's plan is greater than any plot of the enemy. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11 and we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28. No scheme formed against one who belongs to Him will ultimately prevail when they remain rooted in Christ.

We also hear your prayer for strength to flee and we echo the scriptural counsel to flee from youthful lusts, and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. 2 Timothy 2:22 and to flee sexual immorality. 1 Corinthians 6:18. Whether the counterfeit comes as a wrong friendship, a romantic entanglement outside of God's design for marriage between a man and a woman, or any other distraction, God's way is to flee, to resist the devil and draw near to God. Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7. He will also provide a way of escape, for God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. 1 Corinthians 10:13.

We pray together now.

Father in heaven, we lift this precious individual before You in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, through whom alone we have access to You. We thank You for the calling You have placed on their life and for Your good and perfect plan for them. We ask that You surround them with Your protection and make every evil plot and scheme of the enemy against them fail miserably. Expose every counterfeit, every tempting person or situation that is not from You, and give them clear discernment to recognize it. Grant them grace, courage and strength to flee from temptation and to choose Your destiny over the enemy's distraction. Keep their feet from being entangled and their heart steadfast on You. Lead them to walk with wise and godly people who will encourage them in faith, and guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Let Your plan prevail in their life and let them have a willing heart to accept and walk in all You have prepared for them, for Your glory. We declare that no weapon that is formed against them will prosper and that You will complete the good work You have begun. In the mighty and saving name of Jesus we pray, amen.

We encourage this individual to stay rooted daily in the Word, in prayer and in fellowship with mature believers who will speak truth and hold them accountable, for he who walks with wise men will be wise. Proverbs 13:20. As they seek first Your Kingdom, You will make their path straight and keep them from the enemy's snares.

We hear how much you care about this person and how clearly you want God's best for them. It is a loving thing to notice both the calling you see in them and the distractions that could pull them away, and to bring that burden to the Lord instead of carrying it alone.

It makes sense that you are asking for strength for them to walk away from what is not good. Counterfeits can be convincing because they often offer something that looks like love or opportunity or belonging in the moment. Praying for clear eyes and courage to step away is a faithful way to love them while leaving the outcome in God's hands.

One simple way we have found helpful is to keep praying regularly by name and, when you have opportunity, to speak life over them in ordinary ways. A brief encouraging word, a reminder that you are for them and believing God has good plans for them, can be steady support without adding pressure or trying to control their choices. We keep trusting God to work even when we cannot see it.

Father, we lift this person to You. Guard their heart and steps, give them wisdom to recognize what is not from You and strength to turn away. Draw them closer to Yourself and let Your purposes prevail in their life. Give our friend peace as they continue to intercede. In Jesus' name, amen.

We join you in this prayer and bring this soul before the throne of grace with you. Your burden is a right and holy one, to ask the Lord to keep this person from entanglement and to preserve the work He has begun.

We pray that if God has indeed laid His hand upon this life, that His effectual calling will be made plain. For His calling is a gracious calling, a holy calling, a high calling and a heavenly calling. It is not of man but of God, and it lifts the heart from earthly things to heavenly things, from sin to holiness, from self to Christ. We ask that this one may hear the Shepherd's voice calling by name, and rise up at once to follow Him, for the sheep know His voice.

We pray also as our Lord taught us, Lead us not into temptation. Temptation in itself is dangerous, though God may bring good out of trial, and it is right for the Christian to pray for deliverance from it. We ask for grace not only to pray this, but to live it, to flee from every tempting situation and person, and never to go willingly into the place of temptation. May the Lord grant strength to turn away at once, to loathe the suggestion of the enemy, and to choose the way of escape that God in faithfulness provides.

We ask that every counterfeit and every scheme of the enemy to destroy or distract from God's purpose would fail. May the Lord protect this person, guard the heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and cause His own plan to prevail. We pray for grace to accept God's destiny, to press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus, and to walk worthy of that holy calling with which He has called us.

We leave this beloved soul in the hands of Him who alone saves, for there is no other way of salvation but by Christ, who died for the ungodly and now bids all who labor and are heavy laden to come to Him. May today be the day of hearing His voice and not hardening the heart. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

We join you in this prayer and say Amen to what you have asked. Your concern is holy and right, to desire that this person not be entangled by wrong company and not be turned aside from the calling God has placed on their life.

We pray that God, who is faithful, will guard this person and give strength to flee from every tempting situation and person. Scripture teaches us not to go to meet temptation but to withdraw from it, and that God will not allow us to be tempted beyond what we can bear, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that we may be able to endure it. We ask the Lord to make that way of escape clear and to give courage to take it.

You spoke truly that the enemy sends counterfeits. That is the nature of what is precious, the false imitates the true because the true is rare and valuable. We pray for discernment for this person, that they may recognize what is counterfeit and cling to what is genuine, what is pure and from God, and not be deceived by what only appears good but leads away from their destiny in Christ.

We also remember that God at times permits trial not to destroy us but to draw us closer to Himself, that we may flee for refuge to Him and abide there. We pray that every trial and distraction would instead drive this person into the bosom of the Father, into prayer and into the Word, and that there they would find protection and clarity.

So we pray: Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, by whom alone we have salvation, protect this life from every scheme of the enemy. Let every evil plot fail. Establish Your plan and prevail over every distraction. Grant grace to accept Your destiny and to walk in holiness, in purity, and in obedience, keeping Your good design for life and marriage and all relationships.
