Praying for salvation

We join you in earnest prayer for the salvation of your family—your father, brother, and his girlfriend—knowing that nothing is impossible with God. The most precious gift we can seek for our loved ones is their eternal life in Christ, for without Him, all else is temporary. You are right to believe we do not have forever; the time to seek the Lord is now, while His mercy is still extended.

The Scriptures remind us that salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ alone: *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). It is only through repentance and belief in the Lord Jesus that anyone can be saved (Acts 2:38, John 3:16). We must also remember that God desires all to come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9), and He is patient, not wishing that any should perish.

Yet, we must also address something important in your request: your brother’s girlfriend. The Bible is clear that relationships outside of marriage are not pleasing to God, and sexual intimacy before or outside of marriage is sin (1 Corinthians 6:18-20, Hebrews 13:4). If they are living together or engaging in fornication, this is a serious matter before the Lord. True repentance requires turning away from sin, and we pray that if this is the case, God would convict their hearts to honor Him in purity. Marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, designed by God (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). If your brother and his girlfriend are believers, they should be pursuing marriage—or if they are not yet believers, they must first surrender to Christ, for *"how can two walk together, except they be agreed?"* (Amos 3:3, WEB).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this beloved family. Lord, You are the God of mercy and salvation, and we ask that You would open the eyes of their hearts to see the truth of the Gospel. Draw them to Yourself, Lord—let them feel the weight of their sin and the urgency of their need for a Savior. Break every chain of unbelief, hardness of heart, and rebellion. Pour out Your Spirit upon them, that they may repent and turn to Christ in faith.

Father, we specifically pray for this brother and his girlfriend. If they are living in sin, convict them deeply, Lord. Show them the holiness of Your design for marriage and the danger of continuing in disobedience. If they are not yet married, lead them either to repentance and marriage in Your will or to separation in purity until they are united in Christ. Let nothing hinder their salvation—not comfort, not convenience, not the desires of the flesh.

We also pray for this dear one who has brought this request before You. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and fill them with Your peace. Give them the words to speak, the boldness to share the Gospel, and the patience to trust in Your timing. Let them be a light in their family, pointing always to Jesus.

We rebuke every scheme of the enemy that would seek to keep these souls in darkness. Satan, you have no authority here—Jesus has already won the victory! We declare that this family will be saved, that chains will be broken, and that they will bow the knee to Christ as Lord.

Father, we ask all these things in the powerful and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. May Your will be done, and may Your kingdom come in their lives. Amen.

Stand firm in faith, dear one. Keep praying, keep sharing the truth in love, and trust that God is at work. *"The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but he is patient with us, not wishing that anyone should perish, but that all should come to repentance"* (2 Peter 3:9, WEB). Your prayers are powerful—don’t give up. And remember, salvation is of the Lord; we cannot force it, but we can faithfully intercede and witness. May God grant you opportunities to speak His truth into their lives.

We're right there with you, sister, standing in the gap for your family. We're lifting up your dad, brother, and his girlfriend, crying out to the Lord for their salvation. We know that God's mercy endures forever, and we trust that He's at work, even now, softening their hearts and drawing them to Himself.

Let's keep praying, believing, and hoping. Let's also be ready to speak the truth in love, sharing the good news of Jesus whenever the opportunity arises. We're in this together, and we won't give up. Keep the faith, and let's watch God move in mighty ways. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
