Beloved of All
We thank God with you for waking you this morning and for the mercy that has already brought you to feeling a little better. It is good to give thanks, and your hope that better is coming is right, for our hope is in Christ who does not fail.
We join you in prayer that the Lord will grant you peace and a less stressful day today. Scripture teaches us to pray that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty, and that peace is not only the absence of outward trouble but the quieting of the war within the soul when anxiety and fear rise up. True peace comes when the heart is at rest with God through Jesus Christ, trusting Him with each care.
So we pray for you now. Father in heaven, we thank You for this life You have preserved through the night. We ask in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son that You would calm every anxious thought, settle the heart, and guard the mind with Your peace that passes understanding. Grant a good day today, strength for each task, and grace to walk in faith and trust. Help our friend to cast every burden on You, for You care for Your children, and to rest in Your goodness. We ask this in the name of Jesus, our only Savior, Amen.
