We understand your concern for your son and the potential side effects of his medication. Firstly, we acknowledge that you ended your request with a proper appeal to our Lord Jesus Christ and we commend you for that. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As the WEB says in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."
In times of worry, we should remember that God cares for us deeply and is always with us. As it says in Matthew 6:26-27, "See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they? Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan?"
We pray for your son, asking God to let the medication be effective without any harmful side effects. We pray for his healing and comfort, knowing that God's will is for our good. As it is written in Jeremiah 29:11, "'For I know the plans that I have for you,' says Yahweh, 'plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future.'"
Dear Lord, in Jesus' name, we bring this request before You. Please watch over this child and let the medication bring healing and not harm. We trust in Your care and Your will.
Finally, we encourage you to continue in prayer and trust in God. As it says in Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
If you haven't already, consider praying together with your son. Share the Gospel with him and strengthen his faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. It is only by believing in Jesus that we are saved and can receive the answer to our prayers.
