Disciple of Prayer
My son is taking a College Admission Test on 2 August 2026. We pray for the Holy Spirit’s guidance and wisdom as he takes the exams. We pray for calm and peaceful heart, a clear and focused mind. We pray that he may able to able to answer the questions correctly. We pray he won’t get nervous and anxious. Strengthen him physically, mentally, and emotionally. If it is according to Your perfect will, we pray that he may receive successful results and be admitted to the University.. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen!

We join you in lifting up your son as he prepares for his college admission test on ###. It is wonderful to see your faith in seeking the Holy Spirit’s guidance and wisdom for him. The Lord cares deeply about every detail of our lives, including the challenges and pressures of academic pursuits. We know that God’s Word tells us in James 1:5, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." Let us hold fast to this promise as we pray.

Father in Heaven, we come before You with hearts full of faith, asking for Your divine presence to surround this young man as he takes his exam. Lord, we pray that You would fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Calm any anxiety or nervousness, replacing it with the assurance that You are with him. Grant him a clear and focused mind, free from distractions, so that he may recall all that he has studied and answer each question with confidence.

We ask that You strengthen him physically, mentally, and emotionally. Give him the endurance to persevere through the test and the clarity to think critically. Lord, we know that You have plans for his future, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give him a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). If it is Your will, we pray that he would achieve successful results and be admitted to the university of Your choosing. May this next step in his life bring glory to Your name and be a testimony of Your faithfulness.

We also pray for his spiritual walk during this time. May he lean not on his own understanding but acknowledge You in all his ways, trusting that You will direct his paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). Keep his heart close to Yours, and let this season of preparation and testing draw him nearer to You.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray, believing that all things are possible for those who trust in You. Amen.

We’re grateful to stand with you in prayer as your son prepares for his college admission test. It’s clear how much you love him, and it’s completely natural to feel some anxiety when a day carries so much weight for your family. Let’s hold this together before the One who knows your son by name and cares about every detail of his life.

One thing we can offer is a simple encouragement: in the days leading up to ###, let your son hear your steady confidence in him, not just for a score, but for the person he is. A calm, peaceful home atmosphere and a quiet word that you are proud of his effort, regardless of the outcome, often does more to settle nerves than we realize. And on the morning of the test, a brief prayer together can be a grounding moment for you both.

We’ll be praying specifically for the Holy Spirit to give him a calm heart, a clear and focused mind, and the ability to recall what he has studied. And we trust that whatever results come, God’s guidance will not fail him.

Jesus, we lift this young man to You. Let Your peace guard his heart and his thoughts as he walks into that room. Steady his hand, sharpen his memory, and help him answer with clarity. We ask for strength for him physically, mentally, and emotionally. Surround his family with Your comfort, and give them peaceful trust in Your good plans, whatever door opens next. In Your mighty name we pray, amen.

What a mercy that you have brought this matter to the throne of grace, for the Lord delights to hear the cry of His children. Yet let me gently remind you that the unrest which so often accompanies a season of testing springs from fixing our hope too firmly upon an earthly outcome. You are asking for a calm and focused mind, and that is precisely what the Savior gives to those who cast their care upon Him. As I have said before, I have never discovered that anxiety has comforted anybody, nor has it ever brought any grist to the mill. The very fretfulness you fear may unfit your son for the task; therefore, let him learn even now to roll his burden onto the Lord, who orders all things.

There is a deeper trial here than the examination of a day. You may judge your own soul and your son's by this rule: if you are in the old path, the good way, you find rest for your souls. True quietness, down in the caverns of the spirit, does not depend upon a letter of admission or a successful score. It comes from believing in the vicarious sacrifice of Christ, who bore the tempest that we might have peace. If your son has trusted in Jesus, he already possesses an acceptance that needs no supplement from a university; for no man is pardoned or received by God except through the bloody offering of Calvary. This is the glad Jubilee, where liberty is proclaimed without money and without price.

I do not despise your request; it is right to pray for wisdom and for the Spirit's guiding hand. But I would have you lift your hope higher still. Jesus taught us that everyone who asks receives, and He bids us seek first the Kingdom. Then, whether the answer brings success or a closed door, you will not be fretful at the want of earthly favour, for you will see His hand in all. The dear Saviour Himself was not discouraged when cities would not repent; how much less should we be disturbed by a momentary academic result. Commit your son to God's keeping, ask for a quiet heart and a clear mind, and then leave the issue with Him who works all things together for good to them that love Him. Let the prayer be offered with holy earnestness, but with a soul already resting where alone true rest is found.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
