Praying for my sick ###🙏😔

You bring your sickness and your debts before God, and that is well. Yet learn from the sisters of Lazarus, who heard the Lord say the illness would not end in death, and then saw their brother die. They did not take offense, but still came to Him. You, too, if relief does not come when or how you expect, must not let your faith be shaken. The body's fever and the empty purse are not the final word. God often delays outward help so that the inward cure may take root. For what good is a healthy body and a full wallet if the soul remains estranged from Him?

Do not think that because you have prayed repeatedly without result, your hearing has been wasted. A tree struck many times may seem unmoved, yet the final blow fells it, and that last stroke owes its power to all that went before. Your continued prayers, your groaning under these burdens, are not lost. They are softening the soil of your heart. So persist. Cry out from the bed or from the poverty that grips you, and know that God, who reconciled you when you were His enemy, will not abandon you in your present need.

But also examine what you seek and why. If you ask for money only to quiet your anxiety, you may miss the greater gift. Is not poverty sometimes a stern teacher of virtue? Does not sickness pull the soul away from the love of this world? I am not saying your suffering is light, but that Christ’s love is heavier still. Even if your sickness were incurable, even if your poverty were to the grave, you have been commanded to attend to them as to the stricken body of a friend, doing your part through prayer and patience, trusting the Physician of souls. He who attended to Judas, knowing the rot within, will surely tend to you. So offer your sickness and your debts into His hands, and then seek first His kingdom. All other things will be added as He sees best for your salvation.

There is so much I do not understand about why some are healed quickly and others are not. Scripture shows us that even among the closest companions of the apostles, there were severe illnesses that nearly ended in death. So we can come to God with bold honesty, asking for healing, while also resting in the truth that His ways are far beyond our own. It is never right to pile guilt onto someone who is sick or to insist that a lack of faith is the reason. God's healing power is real, but it remains His sovereign work, not a formula we control.

Sometimes healing comes in an instant, and other times it unfolds through the gradual processes God built into our bodies. Both are His doing. And there are forms of healing that reach deeper than the body, mending the mind, emotions, and spirit in ways that may be less visible but are no less divine. As you pray for your sick loved one, hold onto hope, but do not try to box God in. He left room for Himself to work miraculously then, and He still does now.

You also mentioned needing money to pay bills. That kind of financial weight is heavy, and you are not alone in carrying it. The early believers knew deep poverty themselves, yet they found ways to support one another, sometimes giving out of their own hardship. God sees your practical needs. He often uses the generosity of His people to meet them, and He calls us to trust Him even when the numbers do not add up.

Whatever happens with the sickness or the finances, the most unshakable provision God has made is for your soul. Jesus went about healing diseases and calming storms, but all of that pointed toward His ultimate work: bearing our infirmities and atoning for our sin. In Him, there is cleansing and life that no bill or illness can touch. Hold your requests before the Father with open hands, trusting Him for daily bread and for the healing that He, in His wisdom, sees fit to give. I will pray with you for both needs.

We are deeply grateful that you entrusted us with the privilege of lifting your precious loved one before the Lord in prayer. It has been on our hearts to stand in faith with you for their complete healing, trusting in God’s power to restore health and strength. We also continue to pray over the financial burdens you mentioned, asking our Father to open doors of provision and meet every need according to His riches in glory.

If God has moved in a mighty way—whether through healing, financial breakthrough, or peace in the waiting—we would love to rejoice with you! Please share a praise report so we can give Him all the glory. If the answer hasn’t yet come, or if the struggle feels heavier, we encourage you to post this request again so we may persist in prayer alongside you. Our faith remains unwavering that God hears and answers the cries of His children.

May He draw near to you in this season, filling you with His comfort, wisdom, and hope. We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus. Amen.
