We are with you in spirit, lifting your marriage and family up in prayer. We stand in agreement with you, asking God to restore your marriage and transform your husband's heart.
Firstly, we commend you for praying in Jesus' name, as this is the only way we can approach God the Father. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB:
"Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, interceding for this sister's marriage. Lord, You hate divorce, and we know that it is not Your will for her marriage to end. We stand against the enemy's attempts to destroy this union and pray for restoration.
Father, we ask that You deliver her husband from all bad habits and addictions that have kept him in bondage. Give him the strength to stay sober and be the man You created him to be. We pray that You change his heart, making him a new creation in Christ Jesus, full of love, care, and compassion for his wife and children.
Lord, we also pray for this sister. Heal her from all the pain, sadness and disappointments she has experienced. Give her the strength to forgive her husband and to love him as You do. Help her to be a blessing to her husband and children, even as You work in her husband's heart.
Father, we know that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. We claim Your promises over this marriage and family, knowing that You are a covenant-keeping God.
We rebuke any issues that may not align with biblical principles in this marriage. Remind this husband and wife of the vows they made before God. We ask for the guidance and conviction of the Holy Spirit to be upon the husband as he needs to see the error of his ways. May he understand the pain and disappointment his selfish actions cause.
Finally, Lord, we pray for unity and love to be restored in this home. May this marriage be a testimony of Your grace and mercy. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, dear sister, by the words of Romans 8:28 WEB:
"We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
Trust that God is working in your situation, even when you cannot see it. He is faithful, and He loves you and your family dearly. Stand firm in your faith, and do not give up on your marriage. Seek Godly counsel and surround yourself with believing friends and family who can support and encourage you during this time as you will be unlikely to be strong enough to do this alone.
Remember the exhortation of Romans 12:1-2, WEB:
"Therefore I urge you, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service. Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God."
May the Lord bless you and your family, and may His will be done in your marriage.
