Praying for my daughter

Please pray for my daughter, she is twelve years studying in seventh class. We as parents felt everything was going on well, but suddenly I got news from my in-laws that, my daughter was using Instagram since three months and they have seen her messages and her photos in it and she was using three different accounts and she had proposed to one boy. Listening to all these, we parents felt very bad, I was little anxious too as I am heart patient, had placed two stents in my heart fifteen months back. Somehow we both prayed and spoke to my daughter, slowly she came out openly and we with her consent deleted all those accounts. Before deleting one of her accounts, I checked her one chatting with a boy because his name was told by our in-law, this boy took her user ID and password promising to give his id and password, but never gave, he also changed password of my daughter's account and did not give, in the chatting I saw this boy complaining to my daughter that she had another boy friend whom she liked, till last my daughter only asked for the reset password of her account and stopped chatting as she didn't get her credentials back. She must have got frightened and was upset I suppose. It was at this juncture we entered and deleted all those accounts now. This year in seventh class, she made two new friends who are very weak in studies, one of them is more forward in these kind of activities I guess, this one has led my daughter into all this we came to know. She had a good friend earlier, but now they both don't speak to each other. I request to pray that, 1. Whatever photos she had posted shall not be misused. 2. She shall be away from these kind of social medias and never fall into such kind of traps in her life again. 3. She shall choose her earlier friend in school and avoid or be neutral with her present friends. 4. She shall not fall in love with boys, if she has proposed and if such kind anything is there, may it be broken in Jesus name and she shall grow mature and wise and take appropriate decisions in her life. Here, I want to confess my constant fear on my daughter. When my daughter had born, I gave time and day to an astrologer for choosing a name for her. After giving name, this astrologer told me that "you should take utmost care of your daughter till thirteen years or some kind of threat is showing". This has been rooted in me and I am constantly facing fear of it. Please pray for me too for eliminating that fear in me and pour belief in me that in the name and blood of Jesus there is no threat to my daughter at all. Thank you for all your prayers till now, these days from her external expression and behaviour, lot of improvement is seen. One of the miracle is that, the friend who introduced Instagram or social media to my daughter will be joining other school from next year. When I glanced through her personal diary, I came to know that, she is missing her friends on Instagram especially one boy friend, but all of these needs to be eradicated from her heart slowly, she shall turn to the Lord Jesus and Mother Mary through her personal prayers, she got her confirmation in church, please pray that she shall be filled with Holy Spirit and guided and she shall concentrate on her studies. We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your daughter and your family in prayer. Father, we thank You for the honesty and openness shared in this request, and we ask for Your divine protection, wisdom, and healing over this precious young life. We recognize the deep concern and love of these parents, and we stand with them in faith, declaring that no weapon formed against this child shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Lord, we rebuke every spirit of fear, deception, and worldly influence that has sought to ensnare this young heart, and we command it to flee in the mighty name of Jesus.

First, we pray for the protection of your daughter’s images and personal information. Heavenly Father, we ask that You render every inappropriate photo or message inaccessible and unusable. Let no one exploit or misuse what was shared in ignorance or curiosity. We declare that her identity is hidden in Christ, and we plead the blood of Jesus over her digital footprint, asking that every trace of this season be erased and that no lasting harm come from it (Psalm 91:4). We also pray for the boy involved—Lord, soften his heart, reveal Your truth to him, and let him experience conviction and repentance if he has acted dishonorably. May he also be protected from any misuse of her information.

Father, we address the root of this situation with biblical truth. Social media, while not inherently evil, can become a snare when used without wisdom, accountability, or godly boundaries. We pray that your daughter’s heart would be guarded with all diligence, for out of it flow the issues of life (Proverbs 4:23). Lord, create in her a clean heart and renew a right spirit within her (Psalm 51:10). Help her to see the emptiness of seeking validation from peers or online interactions and turn her eyes fully to You. We ask that You break every ungodly soul tie or emotional attachment formed through these interactions. In the name of Jesus, we sever any unhealthy connection to that boy or to the desire for romantic attention at this tender age. We declare that her affections be redirected toward You, her Savior, and toward godly friendships that sharpen and encourage her in faith.

We also lift up her friendships. Lord, we ask that You restore the broken relationship with her former friend—the one who was a positive influence. Soften both of their hearts, remove any pride or misunderstanding, and let reconciliation come through humility and grace. As for the current friends who have led her into unwise behavior, we pray not for condemnation, but for transformation. Father, reveal Your love to them as well. Let them see the emptiness of worldly pursuits and turn to You. We ask that You either change their hearts or remove them from her life in a way that protects her spiritually and emotionally. Give her the strength to be neutral or walk away if necessary, and fill her with godly companions who love You and honor Your ways.

We must address the mention of "Mother Mary" in this request. While we respect the sincerity of those who hold to Catholic tradition, Scripture is clear that we are to pray to God the Father in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5). Jesus Himself said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6). Salvation is found in no one else (Acts 4:12). We encourage this family to center their prayers and devotion on Jesus alone, for He is the only name given under heaven by which we must be saved. We pray that your daughter’s confirmation in the church would be more than a ritual—may it mark the beginning of a personal, vibrant relationship with the living Christ, empowered by the Holy Spirit.

Lord, we also lift up this mother’s deep-seated fear. The words of the astrologer have taken root in her heart, but we declare that they have no power over her or her daughter. Scripture tells us that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We renounce every word spoken over this child that does not align with Your Word. We break the power of divination, astrology, and any false prophecy in Jesus’ name. We declare that this daughter is covered by the blood of Jesus, sealed by the Holy Spirit, and protected by the angels of the Lord. No curse, no threat, no evil plan shall prosper against her, for she is hidden in Christ (Colossians 3:3). We pray that this mother’s faith would rise and that she would walk in the confidence of Your promises, trusting You with her child’s future.

Father, we pray for your daughter’s spiritual growth. Fill her with the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth (John 16:13). Let her hunger for Your Word, for prayer, and for fellowship with believers. Give her a heart that seeks You above all else. Help her to see that true love is not found in romantic relationships at this stage of life, but in knowing You and being known by You. Teach her to set her mind on things above, not on earthly things (Colossians 3:2). May her studies become a priority, not as a burden, but as an act of stewardship over the gifts You’ve given her. Let her excel in wisdom, understanding, and discernment.

We also pray for this family’s unity and communication. Lord, give these parents wisdom in how to guide their daughter with love, firmness, and grace. Help them to model Christ-like behavior, to speak truth in love, and to create an environment where she feels safe to share her struggles. May their home be a sanctuary of peace, prayer, and biblical truth.

Finally, we thank You for the improvements already seen in her behavior. We believe this is the work of Your Spirit, drawing her back to You. We declare that what the enemy intended for harm, You will use for good (Genesis 50:20). Let this season be a turning point in her life—a time when she learns to walk in wisdom, to guard her heart, and to live for Your glory.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You as a family of believers, united in faith and love for this child. We ask that You would surround her with Your angels and cover her with Your blood. Break every chain of deception, every lie of the enemy, and every ungodly influence in her life. Restore what has been lost, heal what has been wounded, and renew her mind according to Your Word. Fill her with the Holy Spirit, that she may walk in wisdom, purity, and truth. Strengthen her parents to lead with courage and grace, and let this home be a place where Your presence dwells. We declare that this daughter is Yours, bought with the precious blood of Jesus, and we claim her future for Your kingdom. May she grow in stature, in wisdom, and in favor with God and man, just as Jesus did (Luke 2:52). We trust You, Lord, to complete the good work You have begun in her. We are so grateful you shared your heart with us and allowed us to stand alongside you and your family in prayer during this challenging time.
