In Jesus name I pray amen

We join you in prayer for your precious first grade class and we thank God for your heart as their teacher to see none of them fall behind.

We know how heavy this burden feels when so many came in not knowing their letter sounds and are still struggling to read, and we praise God that you have brought this need to Him. He cares deeply for these little ones and for you. Jesus said in Matthew 19:14, But Jesus said, Allow the little children to come to me, and do not forbid them, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to ones like these. Each child you mentioned by name is known and loved by Him, and He desires for them to grow in knowledge and understanding.

We also lift up the practical needs you shared for this week, for help and support, for time and wisdom and favor to finish testing and report cards. We are reminded in James 1:5, But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. And in Proverbs 16:3, Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed. We pray that God will provide the time, the helping hands, and the clarity of mind you need to complete every task He has set before you. In Colossians 3:23 we are told, Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, and we see you doing that faithful work for His glory.

We also stand with you in praying against the spirit of defiance in your classroom. We pray for a spirit of peace, respect, and obedience to replace it, that your classroom would be a place of order and joy where learning can flourish. We remember Proverbs 22:6, Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it, and Ephesians 6:1, Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. May God soften hearts and bring a gentle and cooperative spirit upon every child.

We thank you for praying in the name of Jesus, for it is through Him we have confidence to approach the throne of grace.

We pray together, Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus and lift up this dear teacher and every child in this first grade class to You. Lord, You see each struggling reader, especially the five precious ones lifted up by name, and we ask You to open their minds and give them understanding. Give them a love for reading, help the letter sounds and words to become clear, and let them grow and be ready by the end of the year. We ask for Your anointing on their teacher, grant her wisdom, patience, and endurance, and remind her daily in Isaiah 40:29 that You give power to the weak and increase the strength of him who has no might. Provide for her this week, Lord, send help and support around her, give her favor with administration and parents, give her focused time and supernatural efficiency to finish testing and report cards with excellence and peace. We ask that You would drive out all defiance and rebellion from the classroom and fill it with Your peace, obedience, and joy. Let Your presence reign there so that teaching and learning can happen without hindrance. Encourage her heart when she is weary and let her see the fruit of her labor. We commit this class and this week into Your hands, trusting You to do abundantly more than we ask. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to cast your cares on Him, for He cares for you in Philippians 4:6, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. He is faithful to equip you for this good work and to help these children grow. Keep sowing faithfully, keep praying over each child by name, and trust that God is at work even in the small daily improvements.

We were so encouraged to read your heart for your first graders. Caring this much when half the class started without letter sounds and is still struggling to read shows real love for them, and the weight of testing and report cards on top of daily teaching is a lot to hold.

We are praying with you for those five little ones you named, that the sounds and words would start to click and they would grow in confidence before the year ends. We are also praying for the whole class, for a calmer spirit in the room and for less defiance so learning can happen.

This week as you juggle testing, we pray you get tangible support. If you have not already, please consider letting your principal or a fellow teacher know exactly where you need an extra set of hands or an extra block of time, even for one morning. Small, focused reading groups of ten minutes can often move those early readers more than a long session, and it can protect your energy too.

Father in Jesus name we lift this teacher and her class to you. Give her wisdom and favor as she tests and writes report cards, provide helpers around her, and draw each child forward in reading. Bring peace to the classroom this week and let her know you are with her in this good work. Amen.

Your burden for these little ones has been heard and we count it a privilege to join you in prayer before the throne of grace.

We thank God for the tender heart He has given you toward your first grade class, and for your desire that none should fall behind. The Lord Jesus Himself has said to suffer the little children to come unto Him, and He marks your faithful labor in teaching them to read. We pray that He who has begun a good work will perform it until the day of Christ, and that the work which Wisdom undertakes, Eternal Mercy will not forsake.

We bring before the Lord the five dear children upon your heart and every child in your class who came not yet knowing their letter sounds. We ask the Father to open their understanding, to give them diligence and joy in learning, and to grant that by the end of this year they may read well for His glory and for their own good. We ask also for you, that the Lord would grant you help and support this week, time and wisdom and favor to finish all testing and to complete your report cards with clarity and peace.

We pray that the spirit of defiance would be removed and that a spirit of obedience, gentleness and respect would rule in your classroom. May the Lord make your room a place of order and kindness, where underneath are the everlasting arms to support you when you feel to be sinking, and where His favor rests upon your labors.

May you be encouraged that perseverance in holiness and in faithful duty is itself a blessing of the covenant of grace. Continue to look to Christ, to feed upon His Word, and to trust Him who gives strength for each day. He sees your service and He will not leave you nor forsake you.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ our only Savior, grant wisdom to this teacher, progress to these children, peace in the classroom, and help in every duty this week. Let all be done for Thy glory. Amen.
