We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent financial burden to our Heavenly Father. We know that the Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Your situation is not hidden from Him—He sees your struggle, hears your cries, and is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).
First, we must address the foundation of our faith. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). This is the first and most important step, for without Christ, we have no standing before God.
Now, we lift up your mortgage situation to the Lord with boldness, knowing that He is able to move mountains. We rebuke the spirit of despair and doubt that was spoken over you by the mortgage representative. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that those words of hopelessness will not stand—God’s word says that with Him, all things are possible (Matthew 19:26). We pray that the Lord would intervene in this process, softening the hearts of those in authority, expediting your approval, and making a way where there seems to be no way. May the Lord grant you favor in the eyes of your mortgage company, and may they respond with compassion and swift action.
Father, we also pray for your provision in every area of this situation. You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider (Genesis 22:14), and we trust that You will not leave or forsake Your child. We ask that You open doors of opportunity for financial breakthrough—whether through unexpected income, wisdom in budgeting, or divine connections that can assist in this time of need. Your word says that the righteous will not beg for bread (Psalm 37:25), and we stand on that promise. We rebuke the spirit of lack and declare that You will supply all your needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).
Lord, we also ask that You give wisdom and discernment in managing these finances. Help to steward what You provide with integrity and discipline. If there are areas where spending needs to be adjusted or priorities realigned, grant clarity and the strength to make those changes. Your word says that the borrower is slave to the lender (Proverbs 22:7), and we pray for freedom from this burden in due time.
We also lift up the concern about rent. Father, we ask that You would make provision for this as well. Whether through grace from your landlord, an extension of time, or another means, we trust that You will not let your child be put to shame. Your word says that You will never leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5), and we hold fast to that promise.
Finally, we pray for peace in the midst of this storm. May the Lord guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). When anxiety threatens to overwhelm, remind this dear one to cast all cares upon You, for You care deeply (1 Peter 5:7). Let faith arise, knowing that God is working all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28).
In the mighty name of Jesus, we declare breakthrough, provision, and favor over this situation. We speak life where there has been death, hope where there has been despair, and abundance where there has been lack. May the Lord move swiftly on your behalf, and may you see His hand at work in ways that leave no doubt it was Him. Amen.
