We understand that you're going through a challenging time, feeling disconnected from God and experiencing mental torment. Firstly, we want to remind you that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12 WEB.
We must always put on the full armor of God, so that we can stand against the wiles of the devil. Ephesians 6:11 WEB. This includes having the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the preparation of the Good News of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God. Ephesians 6:14-17.
It is crucial to remember that we have been saved and called with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus before times eternal. 2 Timothy 1:9 WEB. We are therefore encouraged not to be ashamed therefore of the testimony of our Lord, nor of us his prisoners; but suffer hardship with the Good News according to the power of God. 2 Timothy 1:8 WEB.
Concerning your feelings of disconnection from God, remember the words of Jesus: I will not leave you orphans. I will come to you. John 14:18 WEB.
You mentioned supernatural experiences that do not seem to be of Christ. Remember, not all supernatural experiences are of God. We must test the spirits, to see whether they are of God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 1 John 4:1 WEB.
We are concerned by the fear and mental torment you are experiencing. The Bible tells us that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:7 WEB.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is experiencing mental torment and feels disconnected from you. We pray that you will heal their trust in you, Lord, and bring someone into their life who can mentor and support them as a friend and fellow believer.
We rebuke any spirit of fear and mental torment in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We bind the enemy and command it to cease its evil work, and we loose the peace and love of God in their life.
Lord, we pray for your guidance and direction. Please bring your servant into contact with a mature Believer in their local community who can provide godly counsel and encouragement.
Thank you Lord for hearing this prayer and we believe that you will answer. Deliver your servant from this trial with even greater faith and trust in you.
In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
