We hear your cry for justice and the deep pain that weighs heavy on your heart. The hurt caused by another—especially when it feels ongoing—can stir up anxiety, fear, and a sense of helplessness. But we stand with you before the throne of God, who sees all, knows all, and judges righteously. The Bible tells us in Romans 12:19, *"Dearly beloved, don’t seek revenge yourselves, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, ‘Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.’"* You do not have to carry the burden of retribution—God is your defender, and He will bring justice in His perfect timing and way.
We also lift up your anxiety before the Lord. Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* The enemy would love to keep you bound in fear and unrest, but God offers you His peace—a peace that transcends human understanding. We pray that you would cast every care upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach You and be saved (Acts 4:12). Lord, You see the pain and injustice that [this sister] has endured. You know the hurt that has been inflicted upon her, and You know the anxiety that grips her heart. We ask, Father, that You would be her refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Surround her with Your peace, Lord, and let it guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
We rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety in the name of Jesus. We declare that she is not abandoned, forgotten, or without hope. You are a God who executes justice for the oppressed and gives food to the hungry (Psalm 146:7). We trust You to bring justice in this situation, Lord. Expose the truth, bring repentance where it is needed, and restore what has been broken. Let Your light shine in the darkness, and let Your righteousness prevail.
Father, we also pray for the woman who has caused this pain. We do not know her heart, but You do. Soften her heart, Lord. If she does not know You, draw her to Yourself. If she is acting out of her own brokenness, heal her wounds. Let her see the error of her ways and turn from sin, for You desire that none should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9).
We ask that You would fill [this sister] with Your Holy Spirit, giving her wisdom, discernment, and courage to walk in Your ways. Help her to forgive, not because the offense was small, but because You have forgiven her so much (Colossians 3:13). Let her heart be free from bitterness, for bitterness only harms the one who carries it.
Lord, we also ask that You would protect her from further harm. Place a hedge of protection around her, her mind, her heart, and her life. Let no weapon formed against her prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Give her the strength to stand firm in faith, knowing that You are with her and that You will never leave her nor forsake her (Hebrews 13:5).
Finally, Father, we ask that You would use this situation for Your glory. Let her testimony be one of Your faithfulness, Your justice, and Your healing power. May others see Your hand at work in her life and be drawn to You.
We pray all of this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Dear sister, we want to encourage you to keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). The road to healing may not be easy, but it is possible with God. Surround yourself with godly counsel—those who will speak truth into your life and pray with you. Do not isolate yourself, for the enemy would love to keep you in darkness. Instead, draw near to God, and He will draw near to you (James 4:8).
If you have not already, we urge you to examine your own heart as well. Are there areas where you need to extend forgiveness, even if the other person does not deserve it? Forgiveness is not about excusing the wrong but about freeing yourself from the chains of bitterness. Are there areas where you need to seek reconciliation, if it is safe and appropriate to do so? Remember, God calls us to be peacemakers (Matthew 5:9), but wisdom is needed in how and when to pursue that.
Lastly, we want to gently remind you of the importance of coming to God in the name of Jesus. There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we encourage you to do so today. Confess your sins, repent, and ask Jesus to be the Lord of your life. He is faithful and just to forgive you and cleanse you from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). This is the first and most important step in finding true peace, justice, and healing.
You are not alone in this. We stand with you, and more importantly, God stands with you. Keep pressing into Him, and He will lead you to still waters and restore your soul (Psalm 23:2-3).
