Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing your need and asking for prayer for healing throughout your body. I am praying for you now and asking the Lord to touch you with His mercy and strength.
I want you to know that God cares about your physical needs. Jesus showed this throughout His ministry. He healed the leper, the servant of the centurion, Peter's mother in law, and multitudes who were brought to Him in the evening. He never used His miraculous power to meet His own needs, but He freely used it to meet the needs of others. Matthew tells us this fulfilled what Isaiah said, that He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses. When Jesus broke the bread and said this is My body which is broken for you, He was pointing to a work that includes both spiritual and physical healing.
I believe very strongly that God still heals today. At the same time the Bible helps us keep a balanced understanding. In 1 Corinthians 12 Paul asks, do all have gifts of healing, do all speak with tongues, and the expected answer is no. The body has many members with different gifts. Not everyone is given the same gift, and healing comes in different ways.
Scripture shows many kinds of healing, physical, emotional and spiritual, with the spiritual being the most important because it lasts forever. Bodily exercise has some value for this life, but growing in godliness has value for this life and for the life to come. Whatever God does in healing your body, His deeper work is to heal your soul and draw you closer to Himself through Jesus Christ.
The Bible also shows that healing is not always instant. Most healings in the Gospels happened at once, but there is one account where Jesus healed a blind man in stages, and the man saw clearly only after a second touch. That reminds us that God sometimes heals gradually. Any process of healing is still divine, because God created our bodies with processes to mend and restore. Whether healing comes instantly, gradually, or through the care of doctors and medicine, it is still from His hand. He also brings healing to our minds and emotions, mending wounds and scars that are not physical.
There is a real connection between the health of your soul and the health of your body. John wrote to his friend Gaius that he wished he would prosper and be in good health even as his soul prospers. That was John's loving wish and prayer for his friend, not a blanket promise that guarantees perfect health for everyone. Yet it points to something true that we see confirmed again and again, and that Proverbs says plainly, that a joyful heart is good like a medicine. What happens in our inner life affects our bodies, and caring for your soul, your peace, your trust in God, your joy in Him, matters for your whole person.
We also have to be honest that we do not understand why some people are healed quickly and others are not in this life. To assume God must heal in every case in the way we ask is not what Scripture teaches. Paul the apostle prayed three times for the Lord to remove what he called a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan that buffeted him, and the Lord did not remove it but answered that His grace was sufficient. Good people still suffer sickness, and not every illness is a direct result of a particular sin. Because sin entered the world through Adam, we live in a corrupted world where pain, disease and death are present for all. Our bodies are frail and will return to dust, and as Paul says, we who are in this body groan, longing to be clothed with the new body God has promised. The real you is spirit, and Jesus said He is preparing a place for His people where that new, whole life will be complete.
That does not mean we stop asking. It means we ask with trust in God's wisdom and love, without being drawn into frenzy or false promises. True healing does not need hype or showmanship. Jesus often told those He healed to be quiet and simply go and show themselves as a testimony. We can come to Him simply and honestly, with faith like the woman who touched the hem of His garment, believing He is able.
So I am praying for you that God would bring His healing to you in the way He knows is best, whether instantly, gradually, or through the natural processes He built into your body. I pray He will give you peace in your mind and heart, strength for each day, wisdom for any treatment you receive, and a deep assurance of His presence. Above all I pray your soul will prosper as you rest in Jesus, who bore your sins and your infirmities, and that you will know His comfort while you wait for the complete wholeness He will give to all who belong to Him.
If pain continues, please keep seeking appropriate medical care and keep bringing your needs to the Lord. He hears you. He loves you. May He lift you up, sustain you, and fill you with hope in Christ.
