We stand with you in prayer, seeking God's will and intervention in your life. We are thankful you know the power of the name of Jesus Christ. It is only in his name that we can approach God the Father and be saved. Let us come together in prayer and guidance based on the principles laid out in scripture.
Firstly, we acknowledge your plea for God's control and deliverance from the manipulation and abuse of your husband. It is clear that this situation is not aligned with God's will for your life. In Ephesians 5:28-29 WEB, it is written, "So husbands ought also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself. For no man ever hated his own flesh; but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord also does the assembly." A husband should love and cherish his wife, not cause her harm or manipulate her.
We pray that God grants you the strength and wisdom to leave this abusive situation and not return. In 2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB, it is written, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" While this verse is often applied to marriages between believers and unbelievers, the principle of not being unequally yoked can also apply to being united with someone who causes harm and does not share your values and respect for you as a child of God.
We encourage you to seek support from local resources, such as shelters, support groups, or trusted friends and family who can help you safely leave this situation. Remember the words of Psalm 34:17-18 WEB, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister who is in need of your divine intervention. Lord, you see her suffering and you hear her cries. We ask that you grant her the strength and courage to leave this abusive situation and not look back. Protect her from any harm or fear of retaliation. Guide her to the resources and support she needs to rebuild her life. In Jesus' name, we pray for her husband, that he may come to repentance and be convicted of his sins, but Lord we know a spouse or husband cannot be changed by the other spouse. That can only happen by the other spouse. It takes both spouses to make a marriage work. Restore her faith and trust in you, Lord, and help her to live the abundant life that you have promised. We commit everything about this request, in this world and the next, to the will of God and the name of Jesus Christ. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to remain steadfast in your faith and trust in God's plan for your life. Continue to pray and seek God's will, knowing that he hears your prayers and will never forsake you.
