We join you in seeking the Lord’s wisdom and discernment as you prayerfully consider whether this man is the husband God has prepared for you. The Scriptures remind us, *"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him"* (James 1:5 WEB). The Lord delights in guiding His children, and He will make His will clear in His perfect timing.
We also lift up this man before the Lord, asking that God would work in his heart as well. *"Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart"* (Psalm 37:4 WEB). May both of you be surrendered to God’s will, seeking His glory above all else. Marriage is a sacred covenant, and it is vital that you both be equally yoked in faith, purpose, and devotion to Christ (2 Corinthians 6:14).
We pray that the Lord would reveal any areas of incompatibility, ungodliness, or misalignment with His Word. If this man is not the one God has for you, we ask that the Lord would close the door gently but firmly. If he is, we pray that God would confirm it through His Word, godly counsel, and the peace of the Holy Spirit. *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths"* (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB).
Father, we ask that You would guard this sister’s heart from impatience, fear, or fleshly desires. Help her to wait on You and to seek Your face above all else. May she not be swayed by emotions alone but grounded in Your truth. We rebuke any spirit of confusion, deception, or premature attachment in Jesus’ name. Give her clarity, Lord, and let Your will be done in both of their lives.
We also encourage you to seek wise, godly counsel from mature believers who know you well. *"Where there is no counsel, the people fall; but in the multitude of counselors there is safety"* (Proverbs 11:14 WEB). Be patient, dear sister, and trust that God’s timing is perfect.
May the Lord bless you with His peace as you wait on Him. We stand with you in prayer, believing that He will lead you into His perfect will for your life. Amen.
