We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up these students—Remington and the others—who are struggling with defiance and difficulty following direction. Father, we know that every child is a gift from You, fearfully and wonderfully made, and we ask that You would soften their hearts and minds to receive instruction with humility and respect.
Scripture tells us in Proverbs 22:6, *"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it."* Lord, we pray that these children would be trained in Your ways, that their hearts would be tender toward authority, and that they would grow in wisdom and obedience. We also ask for patience, discernment, and grace for their teachers, that they may guide these students with love and firmness, reflecting Your truth.
We rebuke the spirit of rebellion and disobedience in the name of Jesus. We declare that these children are not bound by defiance but are set free by the power of Christ to walk in godly submission. Help them to see the value of discipline and the blessing of following wise instruction.
Father, we also pray for the classroom environment—let it be one of order, peace, and mutual respect. May Your presence fill the room, calming restless hearts and opening minds to learning. Strengthen the teachers, Lord, and give them creative ways to engage these students, drawing out the best in them.
We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who humbled Himself and became obedient, even to death on a cross. May these children learn to walk in His example, submitting to authority as unto You. Amen.
