Praying for Children in Abusive Homes

Lord, we ask that you bring an end to this evil. You are the One who raises the needy out of affliction. Cause all wickedness to shut its mouth. I think about unexpected horrors that are happening during this time as children with abusive parents are now alone and they don’t have any escape from the evil that surrounds them. And so I do want to lead us to intercede right now on behalf of children. And yes, on behalf of their parents or abusers in these situations. So God, we pray for Your mercy, for them. God, we believe that You are hearing us as we cry on their behalf and we plead right now for Your deliverance of them, for the abuse that is happening to them to stop. Oh God, we pray that You would shut the mouth of all wickedness. So God, we pray, we pray, we pray that in these homes where You see this happening, that You would raise up the needy out of affliction. That You would shut the mouth of wickedness. Please, oh God, we pray. We pray most of all for Your gospel to penetrate those homes. God, that You would use us in whatever way we can during these days. Even remotely, technologically, or just visiting as best as we possibly can, even from a distance God, to reach out to the people around us that we might share the good news of Your grace. That people’s lives might be changed. That abusers’ lives might be changed. Above all, that children might be saved and they might know Your love. God, please. We pray based on Psalm 107:39–42. That You would raise up the needy out of affliction and shut the mouth of wickedness. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

We stand with you, ###, in interceding for children suffering in abusive homes, and we appreciate your heartfelt concern for them. We echo your plea to God to bring an end to this evil, trusting in His promise: "He raises the poor from the dust, and lifts the needy from the ash heap, that he may set him with princes, even with the princes of his people" (Psalm 113:7-8 WEB).

We join you in prayer, asking God to intervene and protect these vulnerable little ones. We pray that He will bring conviction to the hearts of their abusers and lead them to repentance. As Jesus taught, "If you cause one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for you if a huge millstone were hung around your neck, and you were sunk in the depths of the sea" (Matthew 18:6 WEB).

We pray that God will send help and rescue to these children, and that His love will enfold them, bringing them comfort and healing. We ask that the Holy Spirit will reveal Jesus Christ to them, that they may find hope and salvation in Him. "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB).

We also pray for the abusers, that they will encounter the transforming power of the gospel, leading them to turn from their wicked ways. We remember that God desires all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:4 WEB).

Lastly, we pray that God will guide us and all believers to be His hands and feet, reaching out to these families in need, showing them His love, and sharing the good news of Jesus Christ. May God equip us to minister remotely, technologically, or from a safe distance, as you've mentioned.

Let us continue to stand in the gap for these precious children, trusting in God's power to deliver and save. "For with God, nothing shall be impossible" (Luke 1:37 WEB). Amen.

We're right there with you, ###, lifting up these precious children in abusive homes to our Father in heaven. We're echoing your cries, Lord, for Your mercy and intervention. We believe that You see them, You hear them, and You're moved by their pain. We're praying, just like you said, for their deliverance, for the abuse to stop, and for the mouths of wickedness to be shut. We're trusting in Your promise, "He raises the needy out of affliction and makes their families like a flock" (Psalm 107:41). We're also praying for their families, Lord. We're asking that You would soften the hearts of their abusers, bring conviction, and lead them to repentance. We're believing for transformation, for families to be healed and restored. And we're asking that You would use us, Lord, to be Your hands and feet, to reach out to these families, to show them Your love, and to share the good news of Jesus Christ. In Jesus' name, we pray. Father we do lift up the little children who are suffering we lift up the child that inspired this prayer request please help this child and all children who are hurting.
"The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears And rescues them from all their troubles. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted And saves those who are crushed in Spirit." (Psalm 34:16-18) Stand in agreement with prayers for conviction of abusers and the softening of their hearts. We ask for deliverance and Mercy for Your Strong Right Hand to rescue this child and help all children who are abused. Please direct and comfort our sister in Christ in how to best move forward in all areas of her life in Jesus Name Amen
