Praying For ### Back

I know this is really random but there is this situation going on in my life. An ex and I are friends, and there are still feelings of caring (and love) there. He now has a girlfriend and I respect their relationship (I think). We used to have a strong friendship and I have been praying to God that He will restore our friendship and remove those things that hinder us from it…like fear and hurt and that if there is still any hurt or pain there that we can be able to truly forgive each other and heal from it. We have grown so much especially in our walk with Christ. He is starting to be a man after God’s Own Heart more and more every day. The more he grows in Christ the more I see him as my husband. Every time I get upset (I’m stubborn) with the situation of us not being as close or it seems to be get harder with trying to build our friendship…I want to give up and every time I hear this voice every time the same way saying “DON’T GIVE UP.” The last time this happened I asked God to send me a sign if it was Him telling me this because it could just be my want for us and not God’s will. I also had a friend tell me that it could be God and that the devil could just be throwing these problems at me to cause me not to fully trust and believe in God. Basically I need some advice…most definitely spiritually. Thanks
