We join with you in this earnest prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, for it is written, "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled" (Matthew 5:6). This longing is not of ourselves but is a gift from the Holy Spirit, who convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8). We lift up the team at Rental Apartments, their lawyers, and legal representatives, praying that the scales of deception would fall from their eyes, and they would see the truth that sets men free (John 8:32).
Lord Jesus, we acknowledge that salvation comes only through Your name, for "there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). We pray for those among them who are chosen and claim to be Christians, that they would not merely profess faith with their lips but walk in the truth (1 John 1:6). May Your precious blood, shed for the remission of sins, cover them and cleanse them from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:7). Grant them peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and wisdom to discern Your will in all things (James 1:5).
We are grieved, as you are, by the disregard for human life and honest communication that can pervade even those who are educated in the law. The Scripture warns, "Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!" (Isaiah 5:20). We rebuke the spirit of deception and manipulation that may be at work in their midst, for "the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about, seeking whom he may devour" (1 Peter 5:8). We stand against every lie that exalts itself against the knowledge of God and take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5).
Lord, we do not boast in our own righteousness, for "all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). Yet we humbly ask that You would break the hearts of those entangled in sin, that they may come to repentance. As David cried out in Psalm 51, we echo his plea: "Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me" (Psalm 51:10). May they hate sin as You hate sin and turn from it with godly sorrow that leads to repentance (2 Corinthians 7:10).
We pray that You would stir their hearts with an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, that they may seek You with all their heart (Jeremiah 29:13). Let them not be satisfied with the empty philosophies of this world but hunger for the Word of God, which is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). May they be transformed by the renewing of their minds, that they may prove what is the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God (Romans 12:2).
Holy Spirit, we thank You for interceding for us and for them with groanings too deep for words (Romans 8:26). We exalt the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who is seated at the right hand of the Father, making intercession for us (Romans 8:34). Let Your will be done in their lives, Lord, as it is in heaven. May they come to know the truth, and may the truth set them free (John 8:32).
Heavenly Father, we pray that You would raise up godly men and women among them who will stand for justice, mercy, and truth. May they be salt and light in their profession, reflecting the character of Christ in all they do (Matthew 5:13-16). Let them not be conformed to the patterns of this world but be transformed by Your Word and Your Spirit.
We pray for those who may be involved in unrighteous practices, whether through greed, deception, or the exploitation of others. Convict them of their sin, Lord, and lead them to repentance. May they seek to live lives that are above reproach, honoring You in all their dealings (1 Timothy 3:2). Let them not be lovers of money but be content with what they have, for You have said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5).
Lord, we also pray for those who may be victims of injustice or dishonesty. Comfort them, strengthen them, and grant them the grace to forgive, even as You have forgiven us (Colossians 3:13). May they trust in You, the righteous Judge, who will bring every deed into judgment, including every hidden thing, whether good or evil (Ecclesiastes 12:14).
We declare that no weapon formed against Your people shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We stand on Your promises, Lord, and we trust in Your unfailing love and faithfulness.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
