We are truly sorry to hear about the miscarriages you have experienced, and we are here to pray with you and offer biblical encouragement. We believe that children are a heritage from the Lord, and the fruit of the womb is his reward. (Psalm 127:3 WEB)
Firstly, we want to remind you that God cares about your situation and that He wants you to come to Him and share your burdens. In 1 Peter 5:7 WEB, we are encouraged to "cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you."
However, we want to gently remind you that God's plan is for children to be born within the confines of marriage. The biblical foundation for marriage is a man and a woman. Please get married. If you have not named Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, please do so. The Bible says we must be married to a fellow believer and we are only to marry once. If married before, unless your spouse has died, then you are not free to marry. And we are to flee fornication. We are not to live together before marriage as temptation of the flesh is too strong. If you are not currently married or are living together without being married, we strongly encourage you to make it right with God and live according to His will in this area.
Regarding your desire for a child, we pray that God will bless you with a baby, and we trust that His timing is perfect. In Genesis 30:1 WEB, Rachel said, "Give me children, or else I will die." God hears your cry for a child and He knows how important it is to you. But do not put a baby as your most important. God must be #1.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up this couple who desperately desire a child. Lord, we know that children are a gift from You, and we ask that You bless them with a baby in Your perfect timing.
We also pray for their marriage relationship, that it would be strong, loving, and Christ-centered and you must be MARRIED to another believer. We ask that You would guide them and help them to live according to Your will.
We rebuke any issues not aligning with the Bible principles.
Thank you for naming Jesus Christ as the name by which we can come before God. This is the only way we can be saved and one day spend eternity with Jesus.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged by the words of Psalm 34:17 WEB, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles." Trust in God's timing and goodness, and may His peace be with you both.
