We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, seeking His wisdom and guidance in this situation. First, we must address the request for an "uncontestational" and "unconstitutional" divorce with great caution and biblical clarity. Marriage is a sacred covenant established by God, not merely a legal contract. The Lord hates divorce (Malachi 2:16), and while we acknowledge that sin and brokenness can lead to painful circumstances, we must always seek His will above our own desires.
Scripture tells us, *"What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate"* (Mark 10:9 WEB). If there are struggles in this marriage, we encourage seeking godly counsel, prayer, and reconciliation where possible. However, if there has been unrepentant adultery, abandonment, or abuse, Scripture does provide limited grounds for separation (Matthew 19:9, 1 Corinthians 7:15). We pray for clarity, wisdom, and healing—whether that be restoration of the marriage or a path forward that honors God.
We also lift up the request for citizenship.
