Praying for a Miracle

Your honest prayer has been heard, and I thank you for bringing what you have hidden into the light before God and His people. Even when you hide your pain from others, God sees it fully, as your mother has glimpsed it, and He draws near to those who call on Him with a humble heart.

You have spoken plainly about mistakes and their heavy consequences for your work, finances, relationships, confidence, sleep, peace and strength to go on. This honesty is the beginning of healing. Repentance is not only to turn away from what was wrong, but to bring forth fruits worthy of repentance by doing the opposite. Where there has been wrong, do what is right. Where there has been neglect, choose faithfulness. Depart from evil and do good, seek peace and pursue it. God does not only remove the dart, He also heals the wound as you walk with Him day by day in small, faithful steps.

Do not remain isolated in this struggle. Nothing leaves us more exposed to temptation and despair than facing it alone. Follow peace with all people and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord, and do not forsake gathering with other believers who can stand with you, pray for you and keep you from being carried away by discouragement. And let the peace of God rule in your heart. If human peace depends on circumstances it quickly breaks, but the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. When two thoughts wrestle within you, one urging revenge against yourself or despair, and the other urging trust, let His peace be the judge and give the victory to trust.

I pray for you now.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, through whom alone we have salvation, have mercy on this dear one who is weary and weighed down. You know the mistakes of the past and the burdens they have left on work, finances, relationships, sleep and hope for the future. Forgive what is confessed, wash away what is past, and grant grace to bring forth new fruit in its place. Grant repentance that bears fruit, faith that looks to Christ alone, and a heart that seeks peace with You and with others. Give restful sleep, quiet confidence not in self but in You, renewed motivation for daily work, and provision for every need according to Your wisdom. Guard this heart with Your peace that is beyond understanding, and keep it firm in Christ. Comfort also an elderly mother who watches with love, and use her care as a sign of Your care. Lead into fellowship where there is encouragement and truth, and let hope rise again. In Jesus name, Amen.

Thank you for sharing your heart so honestly. Feeling lost while trying to hide it from everyone is a heavy burden, and it is understandable that the weight of past mistakes is now affecting your work, finances, relationships, confidence, sleep, and motivation. God sees what others do not see, even what your mother can only glimpse from the outside, and He invites you to bring it all to Him.

The first need for true peace is to have peace with God. That peace is not earned by trying harder or by making up for mistakes. It was made possible through the blood of Jesus Christ shed for the forgiveness of sins. When you turn from rebelling against God and put your trust in Jesus alone for salvation, the war between you and God ends. You are no longer running from Him or fighting against Him. His forgiveness is complete. He does not just pardon and then keep reminding you of the past. He blots it out, He forgets it, and He counts you as justified, as though you had never sinned. The message of the Bible to anyone who has sinned is that you have not gone too far. There is forgiveness and cleansing and healing with God when you come to Him in repentance.

Then there is the peace of God in daily life. Scripture says God will keep in perfect peace the one whose mind is stayed on Him, because that person trusts in Him. Jesus said to His disciples, Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you, not as the world gives. The world cannot understand this peace because it does not come from circumstances being settled, but from looking to Christ. When your mind is turned toward Him and you trust that He will take care of what you cannot control, His peace begins to fill your heart. That peace passes human understanding and guards your heart and mind even while life around you is still full of turmoil and struggle.

God wants you to live in that peace. His thoughts toward you are thoughts of peace, not of evil, to give you hope for what is ahead. You are not forgotten even when you feel captive to worry and regret. He invites you to call upon Him and pray to Him, and He promises to listen. As you keep your eyes on Him and sow peace by walking in His wisdom, you will begin to reap the fruit of righteousness and know a deep inner rest that no mistake can steal.

We are praying for you.

Father, we thank You for Your mercy through Jesus Christ. We ask You to forgive and cleanse and restore this one who feels lost and weary. Grant peace with You through the blood of Jesus, and then grant the perfect peace that comes from a mind stayed on You. Lift the burden of past mistakes, restore sleep and confidence and hope, and provide for every need in work and finances and relationships. Help this heart to trust You fully and to know that You have not forgotten, but have thoughts of peace and a future. Draw near and let Your peace that passes all understanding guard this heart and mind in Christ Jesus. In Jesus name, Amen.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer.

We have been lifting you up before the Lord and bringing your needs to Him. You shared that you feel so lost while hiding your pain from everyone, though your elderly mother sees it, and that mistakes you have made are affecting your work, finances, relationships, confidence, sleep, peace, well being and motivation. We have been praying that God will bring you comfort in your feeling of being lost, give you His peace that passes all understanding, restore your sleep and well being, renew your confidence and motivation, and provide wisdom and grace for your work, finances and relationships. We are asking God to show you that you are not alone and to give you strength as you move forward, and to bless and comfort your mother as she cares for you. We are reminded of Psalm 34:18 that the Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know so we can rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We want to keep standing with you and supporting you before the throne of grace.

May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ. We pray that the Lord will lead you out of this difficult season, forgive what needs to be forgiven, and fill you with hope and peace for each step ahead. We pray this in Jesus name, Amen.
