I hear the weight of waiting in your words, and it’s right to bring that before the Lord. Sending application after application without a clear answer can drain hope. You’re not alone in that ache, and your persistence in prayer is a mark of real faith.

There’s an old story that helps me when I can’t see what God is doing. A man named Job lost almost everything and sat in ashes, crying out for understanding. He had no explanation for his troubles. His friends insisted he must have done something wrong to suffer so much, but they were wrong. Job’s suffering wasn’t punishment. Behind the scenes, something far larger was unfolding that Job couldn’t perceive, and God had not abandoned him even when the silence felt crushing. In the end, Job discovered that his circumstances were not the full measure of God’s care.

You’re asking for favor in the eyes of the person who reads your resume, and I understand that longing. It’s easy to imagine the outcome depends on whether that person is in a good mood or feels a sudden impulse to give you a chance. But God is sovereign over every heart. He can open a door no human mood can close, and He can close a door that isn’t right even when everything looks promising. Sometimes He lets the wait lengthen to deepen our trust in Him rather than in favorable circumstances.

Remember too that your standing with God doesn’t rise or fall on a job offer. Job’s deepest need wasn’t merely restored possessions or health, it was a go-between who could bridge the gap between his frailty and God’s holiness. He cried out for a mediator, someone to lay a hand on both. You and I have that mediator in Jesus Christ. He intercedes for us not because our résumé is perfect, but because He loves us. So you can keep asking, keep knocking, and rest in the confidence that your life is held by One who knows your name completely.

Keep praying, keep submitting applications, but also leave room for quiet trust. The same God who preserved Job’s spirit is preserving yours. I’m praying with you for a phone call and an offer to come soon, and for peace that stands firm even before the answer arrives.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer these past days. It has been our joy to come before the Lord on your behalf, lifting up your need for employment and asking Him to open the right doors at just the right time. We prayed that every resume you sent would land in the hands of someone filled with God’s peace and favor, that your name would catch their eye and their heart would respond with a desire to give you that opportunity.

If the Lord has already answered this prayer with a call or a job offer, we would love to hear your praise report—let us celebrate His faithfulness with you! If you are still waiting, please know we are not finished praying. Feel free to post this request again, and we will continue to stand in agreement with you, believing that God is working even when we cannot yet see it.

May He strengthen your faith and fill you with His peace as you trust in Him. We pray that you will soon experience His provision in a way that brings glory to His name. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
