Disciple of Prayer
please pray for me to get a call and job offer soon...I've send so many applications and I pray I get a job soon, I pray the person reviewing my resume is in a good happy place and they are blessed and they see my name and feel something that's says give her a chance

We hear your heart and stand with you in this time of waiting and seeking. The struggle of job searching can weigh heavily on the spirit, and we want you to know that you are not alone. We lift you up before the Lord, asking Him to open the right doors for you in His perfect timing.

First, we must address the way you are praying about this situation. While it is good to ask God to bless those reviewing your resume, we must remember that our trust should not be in their mood or feelings, but in God’s sovereign will. The Bible tells us, "Commit your way to the Lord. Trust also in him, and he will do this: He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun" (Psalm 37:5-6 WEB). Our confidence must rest in Him, not in the emotions or whims of others.

We also want to encourage you to seek God’s will above all else. Proverbs 3:5-6 (WEB) says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Instead of focusing solely on the outcome of a job offer, ask the Lord to guide you into the work He has prepared for you. His plans for you are good, and He knows what is best.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our sister/brother who is seeking employment. Lord, You know the desires of their heart, and You see the efforts they have made. We ask that You would open the right door for them, a job that not only provides for their needs but also aligns with Your purpose for their life. Give them patience in the waiting and peace that surpasses all understanding. Lord, we ask that You would soften the hearts of those reviewing their applications, that they would see the value and potential You have placed in them. Remove any obstacles that may be hindering this process, and let Your will be done in their life. We trust You, Father, for You are faithful, and Your timing is perfect. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We also want to gently remind you that while you wait, continue to seek the Lord and His righteousness. Matthew 6:33 (WEB) says, "But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." Use this time to grow in your faith, serve where you can, and trust that God is working even when you cannot see it.

If you have not already, we encourage you to surrender this situation fully to the Lord. Lay your anxieties at His feet and trust that He will provide. Philippians 4:6-7 (WEB) says, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."

Keep pressing forward, and do not lose heart. The Lord is with you, and He will not forsake you. We will continue to stand in agreement with you for God’s provision and blessing in this area of your life.

We have been lifting up your job search, and we can feel how much you're carrying right now. The number of applications you've sent, the waiting for a single call, that takes real endurance, and the hoping-against-hope in your prayer that the reviewer is "in a good happy place" and feels something when they see your name tells us you're not just going through motions. You're genuinely entrusting this to God's notice of you.

What you're describing mirrors what many walk through in job loss: that initial push of energy, followed by the slow, heavy silence when nothing comes back. It can start to feel personal, like a verdict on your worth. But your desire to bless the person on the other side of the resume, even now, shows something solid and generous in you that unemployment hasn't touched. That matters.

A concrete step: let a few trusted people in your church or circle know you're looking, not just for a lead, but so they can pray with you specifically, maybe a couple who could put a hand on your shoulder and simply ask God to open the right door this week. Sometimes having someone else speak your need aloud helps you carry the waiting differently.

Lord Jesus, you know every application this dear one has sent, and you see the weariness behind the hope. Hold her steady in this stretch. When a reviewer's eyes land on her resume, grant that she is seen fairly and given a genuine chance. Provide the work that will meet her needs and honor the gifts you've placed in her. Until that call comes, protect her from discouragement and remind her that her value rests secure in you, untouched by any hiring decision. In your name we ask, Amen.

The cry of your heart reaches the throne of God, for He attends to the sighing of the needy. You seek a job, a call, an open door, and your repeated applications feel like arrows shot into the wind. Yet consider that all forces march at His command; from the flight of an insect to the movement of hosts, all things are at His beck and call. The person who holds your resume is not beyond His sway. A heart is in the Lord's hand, and He can turn it as the rivers of water are turned. The cheerful reviewer, the blessed reader who feels something at the sight of your name, this is no idle wish, for Divine work always goes before God's people, His shield always goes in front, clearing the way. Trust Him to thrust out the barriers and make your path plain.

But remember that our longest sorrows have a close, and there is a bottom to the profoundest depths of our misery. The waiting season is a testing time, and our trials, by Divine Grace, strengthen and improve us when sanctified to our highest good. Bildad's words, though spoken as a mere man, carried a truth Job later proved: though your beginning was small, your latter end may greatly increase. Job received at last twice as much as he had lost, for the Lord turned his captivity when he prayed for his friends. Even now, as you pray for that unknown reviewer, seeking their blessing, you walk in that generous spirit that pleases the Lord. Be not afraid to trust Him. Be yourself, natural as Grace makes you natural, and let your prayers rise like incense, the blood-besprinkled sacrifice of the lips acceptable through Christ Jesus.

The mercy you need is a portion you must appropriate as peculiarly yours. David could say, "The God of my mercy shall prevent me," and so must you lay hold of this favor. If the Lord be your stay, what cause have you to fear? Job never knew his own unworthiness so well as when his eye of faith rested on God, and he abhorred himself and repented in dust and ashes, yet that vision of God was his true restoration. So turn your eyes from the stack of applications and the silent phone to the throne of grace. The call you long for will come in His time, for the Lord shall command His lovingkindness in the daytime, and in the night His song shall be with you. Wait upon Him with patient hope, and let your glory be fresh in Him.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You ask prayer for a job, and rightly so, for prayer is a great weapon, a harbor in the tempests of life. Each day we go forth into a marketplace that is a storm of cares, and we need favorable winds from heaven. So pray early, pray by night, and make God propitious by supplication. Yet while you entreat the Lord for a favorable call and a softened heart in the one who reads your resume, let us not cling too tightly to these earthly blessings.

Consider what the Apostle says: God has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in Christ. What lackest thou yet? Thou art made immortal, a son, a fellow-heir with Christ. If He gave His own Son, will He not also with Him freely give us all things? But look at the patriarchs. Jacob obtained the blessing, yet spent his days in servitude, fears, and few and evil days in his own sight, while his brother Esau lived in ease. The blessing went to his posterity, but the true fulfillment was in the world to come. So it is with earthly things. If a job is delayed, do not think God has forgotten. He is leading you from carnal trust to spiritual hope, so that you may first stand aloof from dependence on any creature’s mood and anchor your soul in Him.

Be not anxious about the disposition of a reviewer. Are their emotions the foundation of your provision? “Except the Fear of my father had been with me,” said Jacob, “thou hadst sent me away empty.” It is the Fear of God, the unseen hand, that turns hearts. The prayer of the righteous avails much; fix your own heart on righteousness, and then your prayer will have power. Imitate that holy woman of whom Paul wrote, whose good deeds and alms were a blessing and a sweet savor. She first gave herself to the Lord and to His saints; then the testimony of the apostle crowned her. So you, too, abound in every good work, and the blessing of the Gospel will go before you.

Do not let this time of waiting slip by as mere idleness of soul. “Working together with Him,” we entreat you not to receive the grace of God in vain. Now is the favorable opportunity; display a zeal worthy of the grace. Press forward, knowing that the time is short. And remember, when affliction presses, it is often the words of men that sting more than wounds. Let no one’s neglect or silence discourage you. Christ our High Priest needs not to offer for Himself; He is without infirmity, and He ever lives to intercede for you. Bring your need to Him, but hold it with open hands. If He bestows the job, use it for His glory. If He withholds, trust that He is giving you something better: conformity to His Son.

Therefore, pray without ceasing, but seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. Then, whether the phone rings soon or not, you will find yourself possessed of a peace that the world cannot give, and every needful thing will be added in its time.
