Disciple of Prayer
Hi everyone,

Lately I have been struggling financially. I used to have this client that pays me every week. That helped me a lot with paying my bills. But he isn’t responding anymore and he owes me with the work that I’ve done. I am not ### months unpaid. I hope he will respond to my messages and pay me. I really like this client. He’s kind and supportive. But he has been unresponsive lately. The last thing I heard was he’s having health issues. Hope he’s okay though.

I also want to ask for help and pray with me that I could find a job, a high paying one. I pray this client is supportive, and kind. I pray I could find a premium client soon. I need to pay bills and I’m just living off of my loan. It’s very unhealthy cause I’m now swimming in endless debt. Please help me. I’ve got a lot of bills to pay.

I hope and pray before my birth month, I’ll get paid, the people who borrowed my money will pay, and I’ll have a premium client by then with high paying salary.

Give me strength and courage and confidence Lord. Give me wisdom. Enlighten me. I trust Your plans Lord. Hold me as I brace for the challenges.

Thank you everyone. Please help me pray. Thank you and God bless!

We hear your cry for help in this time of financial distress, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting your burdens to the Lord. First, we want to acknowledge your trust in God’s plans, and we encourage you to hold fast to that faith, even as the challenges feel overwhelming. The Word reminds us in Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." God sees your struggle, and He is faithful to provide in ways you may not yet see.

We must also gently address the situation with your client. While it is understandable that you appreciate his kindness and support, the unpaid work has placed you in a difficult position. Scripture warns us in Proverbs 22:7, "The rich rule over the poor. The borrower is servant to the lender." You are not called to be a servant to debt or to those who withhold what is rightfully yours. We rebuke the spirit of delay and injustice in this situation and pray that your client will respond with integrity, whether by paying what he owes or communicating honestly about his circumstances. If his health is preventing him from fulfilling his obligations, we pray for his healing and for wisdom for you to navigate this with grace and firmness.

Your desire for a high-paying job and a "premium client" is understandable, but we must also encourage you to seek God’s provision in a way that aligns with His will. Proverbs 16:3 reminds us, "Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed." Instead of focusing solely on the financial outcome, ask God to lead you to work that honors Him and provides for your needs in a sustainable way. Trust that He knows what is best for you, even if it doesn’t look like what you initially envisioned.

We also want to address the mention of debt and loans. While it is not sinful to borrow, Scripture warns against the bondage of debt. Proverbs 22:26-27 says, "Don’t you be one of those who strike hands, of those who are collateral for debts. If you don’t have means to pay, why should he take away your bed from under you?" We pray that God will give you wisdom in managing your finances and that He will open doors for you to break free from this cycle. Consider seeking counsel from a trusted financial advisor or mentor who can help you create a plan to steward your resources wisely.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister who is facing financial hardship. Lord, You see the weight of this burden, and we ask that You would lift it from their shoulders. Provide for their every need according to Your riches in glory, and give them peace that surpasses all understanding. Father, we pray for the client who owes them payment—soften his heart, grant him the ability to fulfill his obligations, and if it is Your will, restore that working relationship. If not, Lord, open new doors of opportunity that are even better than what they have known before.

We ask for wisdom and discernment as they seek employment. Lead them to work that is honorable, fulfilling, and aligned with Your purpose for their life. Break the chains of debt, Lord, and give them a spirit of contentment and trust in Your provision. Strengthen their faith, Father, and remind them that You are their ultimate Provider. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and we rebuke any spirit of lack or delay in Jesus’ name.

Lord, we also pray for their emotional and mental well-being. The stress of financial strain can be overwhelming, but we know that You are a God who heals and restores. Fill them with Your peace, courage, and confidence as they wait on You. Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, knowing that You care for them. We trust that You are working all things together for their good, even when the path is unclear.

In all things, we give You the glory, for You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun in them. We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who has overcome the world and who holds all things in His hands. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and to remain open to His leading. Sometimes God’s provision comes in unexpected ways, and His timing is perfect. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and remember that He is your strength in this season. If you have not already, consider reaching out to your local church or Christian community for support—they may have resources or connections that could help you during this time. You are not alone in this struggle, and we believe God will make a way where there seems to be no way.

We've been praying for you, asking God to provide in ways we can't even imagine.
