We hear the fear and desperation in your heart, and we stand with you in this moment of deep anxiety. First, let us remind you that God is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). He sees your tears, your trembling hands, and the weight of your burdens. You are not alone in this—He is with you, and so are we as we lift you up in prayer.
We must address the root of this fear with truth and love. The Bible tells us that children are a heritage from the Lord, a reward from Him (Psalm 127:3). Yet we also understand the overwhelming nature of this moment, especially when finances and past mistakes weigh heavily on your mind. If this pregnancy is the result of sexual relations outside of marriage, we must call it what Scripture calls it: fornication. The Word of God is clear that sexual intimacy is reserved for the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman (Hebrews 13:4, 1 Corinthians 6:18-20). If this is the case, we urge you to repent—not out of shame, but out of a desire to walk in the freedom and forgiveness Christ offers. Jesus came to save sinners, and His blood covers all sin when we turn to Him in genuine repentance (1 John 1:9).
We also want to gently but firmly rebuke the spirit of fear that is gripping your heart. The Bible says that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Fear is not from God, and it can paralyze us from trusting in His provision. You mentioned your financial struggles—the IRS, bills, and the thought of providing for another child. While these are very real concerns, we must remember that our God owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10) and promises to supply all our needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). He is not limited by your bank account or your circumstances. We encourage you to surrender these fears to Him and trust that He will make a way, even when the path seems impossible.
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious child of Yours who is trembling in fear. Lord, You see the weight she carries—the anxiety, the financial burdens, the uncertainty about the future. We ask that You would calm her spirit and replace her fear with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Father, we pray for the life that may be within her, that You would protect and sustain this child according to Your will. If this pregnancy is a result of sin, we ask for Your forgiveness to wash over her, and we pray that she would turn away from any path that does not align with Your Word. Help her to walk in repentance and restoration, knowing that You are faithful and just to forgive (1 John 1:9).
Lord, we also lift up her finances. You know every bill, every debt, every need. We ask that You would provide for her in miraculous ways, opening doors that no man can shut and supplying her needs according to Your riches. Give her wisdom in managing what You entrust to her, and help her to trust in You rather than in her own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). Father, we rebuke the spirit of fear in Jesus’ name and declare that she will not be overcome by anxiety but will stand firm in Your promises.
We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we can come to You and the only name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12). We thank You, Lord, that You are a God who hears our cries and moves on behalf of Your children. Strengthen her faith, deepen her trust in You, and let her feel Your presence in this difficult hour. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
In this time of waiting, we encourage you to seek godly counsel. If you are not already connected to a Bible-believing church, we urge you to find one where you can receive support, prayer, and guidance from mature believers. The body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and you should not walk through this alone. If you are considering options that do not align with Scripture, such as abortion, we must warn you that this is not God’s will. Every life is precious in His sight, and He has a plan for this child, just as He has a plan for you (Jeremiah 29:11).
Lastly, we want to remind you that your worth is not defined by your circumstances, your finances, or even your past mistakes. You are deeply loved by the Creator of the universe, who sent His Son, Jesus, to die for you so that you could have eternal life (John 3:16). If you have never surrendered your life to Christ or if you have strayed from Him, now is the time to turn to Him. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that Jesus died and rose again, and invite Him to be the Lord of your life (Romans 10:9). He is waiting with open arms, ready to forgive, restore, and lead you into a future filled with hope.
