We join you in lifting this heartfelt desire to the Lord, for it is written in Proverbs 19:14, "House and riches are an inheritance from fathers, but a prudent wife is from Yahweh." We understand the deep longing for a godly spouse, one who loves the Lord with all their heart and seeks to walk in His ways. This is a good and holy desire, and we stand with you in prayer, asking the Father to prepare and bring forth the man He has ordained for you.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, thanking You for the gift of marriage, which You instituted from the very beginning. We ask that You would guide this sister in Christ as she waits upon You. Lord, we pray that You would prepare her heart, mind, and spirit to be a godly wife, one who loves, respects, and submits to her husband as unto You, just as it is written in Ephesians 5:22-24. May she be a woman of prayer, wisdom, and virtue, adorned with the beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious in Your sight (1 Peter 3:3-4).
Heavenly Father, we also pray for the man You are preparing for her. Lord, mold him into a man after Your own heart, one who leads with love, humility, and strength. May he be a man who fears You, seeks Your face daily, and is committed to leading his family in righteousness. We ask that You would guard his heart from the temptations of this world and fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may walk in integrity and truth. As it is written in Proverbs 20:7, "A righteous man walks in integrity. Blessed are his children after him."
Lord, we rebuke any spirit of impatience, doubt, or fear that may try to take root in her heart. We declare that her steps are ordered by You, and that You will fulfill Your purpose for her life in Your perfect timing. Help her to trust in You with all her heart and not lean on her own understanding, acknowledging You in all her ways so that You may direct her paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). We also rebuke any spirit of loneliness or desperation that may try to lead her into ungodly relationships or compromise. Father, we ask that You would fill her with Your peace and joy as she waits, knowing that You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun in her (Philippians 1:6).
We pray against any deception or distraction that may come her way, seeking to lead her away from Your will. Lord, give her discernment to recognize the men who do not honor You, and the strength to walk away from any relationship that does not align with Your Word. May she not be unequally yoked with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14), but may she find a man who shares her faith and her commitment to You.
Father, we also lift up the marriages of those around her. May she be surrounded by godly examples of husbands and wives who honor You in their union. Let their lives be a testimony to her of Your goodness and faithfulness in marriage. We pray that You would heal any brokenness in the marriages of her family and friends, and that You would restore what has been lost or damaged.
Lord, we ask that You would open doors of opportunity for her to meet godly men who love You. Whether through her church, community, or other godly circles, bring people into her life who can speak truth and encouragement into her journey. May she be surrounded by a community of believers who can support and pray for her as she waits.
We declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that You will keep her in perfect peace as her mind is stayed on You (Isaiah 26:3). Lord, we trust that You are working all things together for her good, even when she cannot see the full picture (Romans 8:28). May she find her contentment and joy in You alone, knowing that You are her provider, protector, and perfect love.
In the precious name of Jesus, we pray all these things, believing that You hear us and will answer according to Your perfect will. Amen.
